“Come”—(See “Bringing” :17; & “Go into” :18)—awb bow'—Verb—Qal Imperfect—1) To go in, enter, come, go, come in. Strong—a primitive root; To go or come(in a wide variety of applications).

“To You”—la ‘el(ale) (but only used in the shortened constructive form—la ‘el)—Prep.—1) To, toward, unto(of motion); 2) Into(limit is actually entered)—2a) In among; 3) Toward(of direction, not necessarily physical motion); 4) Against(motion or direction of a hostile character); 5) In addition to, to; 6) Concerning, in regard to, in reference to, on account of; 7) According to(rule or standard); 8) At, by, against(of one's presence); 9) In between, in within, to within, unto(idea of motion to). Strong—a primitive particle; properly--denoting motion towards, but occasionally used of a quiescent position, i.e. Near, with or among; often in general--To.

“Keep alive”(See :19)—hyx khaw-yaw’—Hiphil(causative) Infinitive—1) To live, have life, remain alive, sustain life, live prosperously, live for ever, be quickened, be alive, be restored to life or health. Strong—a primitive root [compare hwx khaw-vah']; To live, whether literally or figuratively; causatively, to revive.

:21—““And you shall take for yourself of all food that is eaten, & you shall gather it to yourself; & it shall be food for you & for them.””

Noah was to gather all edibles as “food” for himself—& thus for his family.

Notice that Noah represents & is responsible for his entire family.

The edibles that were to be gathered were also to be “food” for sustaining all the animals.

“Take”—xql law-kakh'—Qal Imperative—1) To take, get, fetch, lay hold of, seize, receive, acquire, buy, bring, marry, take a wife, snatch, take away. Strong—a primitive root; To take (in the widest variety of applications).

“Food”(Compare hlka below)—lkam mah-ak-awl’—Noun Masc.—1) Food, fruit, meat. Strong—An eatable (including provender, flesh & fruit).

“Eaten/Edible”—lka aw-kal'—Niphal Imperfect—1) To eat, devour, burn up, feed; 1b) Niphal--1b1) To be eaten(by men), 1b2) To be devoured, consumed(of fire), 1b3) To be wasted, destroyed(of flesh). Strong— a primitive root; To eat(literally or figuratively).

“Gather”—Poa aw-saf'—Qal Perfect—1) To gather, receive, remove, gather in. Strong—a primitive root; To gather for any purpose; hence, To receive, take away, i.e. Remove(destroy, leave behind, put up, restore, etc.).

“Food” (Compare lkam above)—hlka ok-law’—Noun Fem.—1)Food. Used 18X.

:22—“Thus Noah did; according to all that God commanded him, so he did.”

Noah “did” everything that God desired. God’s certain & undeniable “command” was all Noah needed to enter & complete his journey by/into God’s will.
