Heb. 13:20-21—“Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever & ever. Amen.”

Jn. 14:26-27—““But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, & bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

—This child is also a King. However He is no ordinary king for His “government” & the “peace” brought by it never end.

:7c—“Upon the throne of David & over His kingdom,...”

—The reign of this Child will be upon an already established throne in Israel...that of David. Thus the child will be from the tribe of Judah. Thus David’s kingdom will not end.

2Sam. 7:12-17—““When your days are fulfilled & you rest with your fathers, I will set up your seed after you, who will come from your body, & I will establish his kingdom. “He shall build a house for My name, & I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. “I will be his Father, & he shall be My son. If he commits iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men & with the blows of the sons of men. “But My mercy shall not depart from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I removed from before you. “And your house & your kingdom shall be established forever before you. Your throne shall be established forever.”’” According to all these words & according to all this vision, so Nathan spoke to David.”
