INTRODUCTION:

Life is made up of seasons—joyful ones and painful ones, victories and challenges, mountains and valleys. In each of these seasons, one truth stands sure: God remains faithful. He is not moved by time, circumstance, or human weakness. His nature is unchanging, and His promises are ever reliable.

Many people struggle to trust God when life doesn’t go according to plan. It is easy to trust Him when everything is working well, but true faith is revealed when we hold on to God’s promises in difficult times. Trusting God through all seasons is not just a spiritual discipline—it is the anchor of the believer’s soul.

This sermon explores how God’s faithfulness sustains us and how we can trust Him, regardless of the season we are in. He is the God of all seasons, and His faithfulness knows no end.

1. GOD’S FAITHFULNESS IS CONSTANT IN EVERY SEASON

God does not change with circumstances or time. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). His faithfulness is not seasonal—it is eternal.

a) God is not a man that He should lie (Numbers 23:19)

He fulfils every promise He has made.

b) He is faithful even when we are faithless (2 Timothy 2:13)

His commitment to us is based on His nature, not our performance.

c) His mercy endures forever (Psalm 136:1)

Each season is saturated with His mercy and goodness.

d) He remains close in every circumstance (Psalm 23:4)

Whether in green pastures or in the valley, He is there.

e) Biblical Example: Job trusted God even when everything was taken from him, and God restored him in the end (Job 42:10-12).

2. TRUSTING GOD IN THE DRY SEASONS OF LIFE

Dry seasons are those moments when prayers seem unanswered and life feels barren. Trust is most tested here, but it must not fail.

a) Faith grows in silence (Isaiah 30:15)

Stillness helps us develop inner strength and confidence in God.

b) God is working behind the scenes (Romans 8:28)

Even when we don’t see it, He’s making all things work together.

c) Dry seasons teach us dependence (Deuteronomy 8:3)

We learn to rely solely on God, not on material things.

d) Delay is not denial (Habakkuk 2:3)

His timing is perfect; the vision will surely come.

e) Biblical Example: Joseph trusted God through betrayal, false accusation, and imprisonment—and was elevated in due time (Genesis 41:41-43).

3. RECOGNISING GOD’S FAITHFULNESS IN THE GOOD SEASONS

When blessings flow, we must not forget the One who made it happen. Gratitude keeps our hearts focused on God.

a) Remember the source of your blessings (Deuteronomy 8:18)

Don’t take the glory for what God has done.

b) Stay humble in seasons of abundance (James 1:17)

Every good and perfect gift is from above.

c) Use your blessings to honour God (Proverbs 3:9)

Blessings should lead to deeper service.

d) Remain consistent in devotion (Psalm 103:2)

Don't let ease lead to spiritual laziness.

e) Biblical Example: Solomon worshipped God with thousands of burnt offerings at the peak of his blessings (2 Chronicles 1:6-12).

4. HOLDING ON TO GOD WHEN THE SEASON MAKES NO SENSE

Some seasons come with pain, confusion, or loss. Yet God is still trustworthy.

a) God sees the bigger picture (Isaiah 55:8-9)

His thoughts are higher than ours.

b) He allows some seasons for refining (Zechariah 13:9)

Trials bring purity and strength to our faith.

c) Even pain can be part of His purpose (Romans 5:3-4)

It produces character and hope.

d) We walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7)

Trust goes beyond visible evidence.

e) Biblical Example: Naomi thought she had lost everything, but God was writing a bigger story through Ruth (Ruth 4:13-17).

5. REMEMBERING GOD’S PROMISES IN EVERY SEASON

His promises are our anchor. Seasons change, but His Word remains.

a) God’s Word never fails (Joshua 21:45)

Every word He speaks comes to pass.

b) His promises bring comfort and courage (Psalm 119:50)

They revive the soul in hard times.

c) Promises are weapons against doubt (Ephesians 6:17)

Speak them aloud when fear tries to rise.

d) Hold on to them with patience (Hebrews 10:23)

He is faithful that promised.

e) Biblical Example: Abraham believed against hope and saw the fulfilment of God’s promise (Romans 4:18-21).

CONCLUSION:

Seasons may change, but God remains ever faithful. In times of joy or sorrow, gain or loss, light or darkness—He is trustworthy. Your confidence in God must not be based on what you feel but on what you know of His character.
