Explore and understand God's unfailing, unconditional, and everlasting love for us.

Introduction

Good morning, beloved family. I'm so glad you're here today, because we're about to dive into a scripture that's all about love - God's love. It's a love that never fails, a love that's unconditional, and a love that's everlasting.

It's a love that's summed up beautifully in Jeremiah 31:3, which reads,

"The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: 'I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.'"

Rick Warren once said, "God's love is like an ocean. You can see its beginning, but not its end." And friends, today we are going to trace God's heart through His Word and see His unfailing love, unconditional faithfulness, and everlasting commitment to us.

So, let's bow our heads and open our hearts as we pray:

Dear Heavenly Father, open our eyes to see Your infinite love for us. Let Your Word resonate in our hearts, reminding us of Your unending faithfulness and Your unwavering commitment to us. May we be transformed by Your love and grace today. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Now, let's get ready to dive deep into the heart of God.

God's Unfailing Love

God's unfailing love is a concept that is woven throughout the Bible, a golden thread that connects every book, every story, every character. It's a love that is not dependent on our actions, our successes, or our failures. It's a love that is constant, consistent, and unwavering. It's a love that is, in essence, the very nature of God Himself.

The original Hebrew text of Jeremiah 31:3: the word used for "unfailing kindness" is "hesed." This word is often translated as "lovingkindness" or "steadfast love." It's a word that implies loyalty, faithfulness, and a love that is not based on feelings or emotions, but on a commitment. This is the love that God has for us - a love that is steadfast, loyal, and unfailing.

A reality that we can experience in our daily lives: It's a love that pursues us, even when we are unlovable. It's a love that forgives us, even when we are unforgivable. It's a love that accepts us, even when we are unacceptable. It's a love that sees our worth, even when we feel worthless. It's a love that believes in us, even when we don't believe in ourselves.

An active love: It's a love that took action to save us from our sins. It's a love that sent Jesus to die on the cross for us. It's a love that continues to intercede for us, even now. It's a love that is always working for our good, even when we can't see it.

A personal love: It's a love that knows us intimately, that knows our thoughts, our fears, our dreams, our hopes. It's a love that knows our past, our present, and our future. It's a love that knows our strengths, our weaknesses, our successes, and our failures. It's a love that knows us better than we know ourselves.

An everlasting love: It's a love that has no beginning and no end. It's a love that is not affected by time, circumstances, or changes. It's a love that is the same yesterday, today, and forever. It's a love that will never let us go, no matter what.

A love that we can give: It's a love that empowers us to love others, even when they are unlovable. It's a love that enables us to forgive others, even when they are unforgivable. It's a love that inspires us to accept others, even when they are unacceptable. It's a love that motivates us to see the worth in others, even when they feel worthless.

It's a love that is beyond our comprehension, beyond our imagination, beyond our understanding. But it's a love that we can experience, a love that we can share, a love that we can live.
