God's unchanging love provides us with comfort in all our afflictions, and empowers us to extend that comfort to others in their times of need.
Good morning, family! Today we're gonna dive deep into the comforting embrace of the Lord, especially during those difficult times we all face.
There's a great quote from Timothy Keller that says, "The only love that won't disappoint you is one that can't change, that can't be lost, that is not based on the ups and downs of life or of how well you live. It is something that not even death can take away from you. God's love is the only thing like that." Isn't that profound? God's love, that source of our comfort, is the only constant we can lean on, especially in challenging times.
Let's look at 2 Corinthians 1, where Paul eloquently explores this theme. The passage reads,

Isn't that something? Not only does God comfort us, but He also empowers us to pass that comfort onto others. That's a benefit that echoes into eternity.
