Summary: Teaching God's people that our way is not God's way, but that we need to trust God in all that we do. I believe that God is saying "Trust Me" to all of us!

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV

This is a great verse that I love to quote but have a much harder time living it out.

This is why we need to learn to trust God in everything that we do. Understand that the key word in that statement in is learn! This is not just something that happens over night, it is through a lifetime of being obedient.

"Dependence upon God makes heroes of ordinary people like you and me!"

Bruce Wilkinson

"God will never, never, never let us down if we have faith and put our trust in Him. He will always look after us. So we must cleave to Jesus. Our whole life must simply be woven into Jesus."

Mother Teresa

Isaiah 55:8-9 NIV

God’s way’s are higher, which means that the way that we think is not always the right way of thinking about things.

*Like putting a jig saw puzzle together where God is handing you the pieces one piece at a time. In the beginning you start with out any idea where the pieces go but you trust God who is telling you where to put the pieces together. As you get father along in the puzzle you start to see the picture and that is when you start to think that you can do some on your own. That is when you start to force pieces into places that they are not meant to be.

We need to trust God that He knows what He is doing.

It is a process of learning to trust God in all that we do.

*This reminds me of the kids who consistently ask the question why about everything.

At the end of the questions you finally reach down in to the barrel of wisdom and come up with the great classic answer of “Just Trust Me”.

This is what we must do with God is learn that we can trust Him!

With God I have found that it is never the same answer with God. The problem is that we always look for the answer to be what we have already received.

Jeremiah 18:1-4 NIV

God is the creator, He is the potter and we are clay.

*God doesn’t always do things the same way,

Pottery maker: *He is going to make a bowl again. I ready for it! When it comes out it is an ashtray."

We can’t think that God is always going to do everything the same as he has before.

God does everything for your benefit. This is our Dad that we are talking about and He wants the best for each of us!

Hebrews 11:6 NIV then MSG

God is looking for you and I to live this life full of Faith.

By faith we all can please God, but that is only done by a choice. God is looking for an opportunity to show you off as His child.

Faith is how we learn to please God!

We have an opportunity to live this life full of Faith, just simply set your mind to trust God daily.

Proverbs 16:1-3 MSG

Trust is a process but it all starts with a choice, and the best news of the day is that the choice is yours!
