Praise, worship, glorify, adore, bless, honor, acknowledge and thank You very much LORD JESUS for I trust, lean on, and am confident only in You, You will never allow me to be disappointed and You will never allow my enemies to triumph over me.

O my God, I trust, lean on, rely on, and am confident in You. Let me not be put to shame or [my hope in You] be disappointed; let not my enemies triumph over me.

9 This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

C. Leading Topic: Conquest and Division of the land of Canaan

VIII. MAIN BODY:

Joshua 9:3 (Amplified Bible)

But when the people of Gibeon heard what Joshua had done to Jericho and Ai,

Joshua 9:3 (King James Version)

And when the inhabitants of Gibeon heard what Joshua had done unto Jericho and to Ai,

A. Victories that can be heard (JESUS CHRIST)

"But when the people of Gibeon heard"

Joshua 10:2 (Amplified Bible)

He feared greatly, because Gibeon was a great city, like one of the royal cities, and because it was greater than Ai, and all its men were mighty.

2 Samuel 21:1-2 (Amplified Bible)

THERE WAS a three-year famine in the days of David, year after year; and David inquired of the Lord. The Lord replied, It is on account of Saul and his bloody house, for he put to death the Gibeonites.

So the king called the Gibeonites—now the Gibeonites were not Israelites but of the remnant of the Amorites. The Israelites had sworn to spare them, but Saul in his zeal for the people of Israel and Judah had sought to slay the Gibeonites—

JESUS CHRIST our LORD, MASTER and SAVIOR prophesied about this:

Luke 12:3 (Amplified Bible)

Whatever you have spoken in the darkness shall be heard and listened to in the light, and what you have whispered in [people’s] ears and behind closed doors will be proclaimed upon the housetops.

The victories of the LORD JESUS CHRIST in saving souls will be heard from our mouth.

Psalms 132:6 (Amplified Bible)

Behold, at Ephratah we [first] heard of [the discovered ark]; we found it in the fields of the wood [at Kiriath-jearim].

Ephratah is ancient Bethlehem where the LORD JESUS CHRIST will be born as a human being that is True GOD that became men to save us from our sins, and we HEARD the victories of GOD - GOD became Man to save a dying and lost man.

The signature of the ALEPH-TAV, the FIRST and the LAST, the BEGINNING and the END is placed after the word "heard" giving it a special meaning. Victories that can be heard are given to us always, every moment by moment that the LORD JESUS desires.leanpesy

B. Jericho and Ai - two enemies of GOD's people

"what Joshua had done to Jericho and Ai,"

Joshua 6:1-27 (Amplified Bible)

NOW JERICHO [a fenced town with high walls] was tightly closed because of the Israelites; no one went out or came in.

And the Lord said to Joshua, See, I have given Jericho, its king and mighty men of valor, into your hands.

You shall march around the enclosure, all the men of war going around the city once. This you shall do for six days.

And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams’ horns; and on the seventh day you shall march around the enclosure seven times, and the priests shall blow the trumpets.

When they make a long blast with the ram’s horn and you hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the enclosure shall fall down in its place and the people shall go up [over it], every man straight before him.

So Joshua son of Nun called the priests and said to them, Take up the ark of the covenant and let seven priests bear seven trumpets of rams’ horns before the ark of the Lord.
