God’s Unspeakable Gift
God’s Unspeakable Gift
"Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift" (II Cor. 9:15) The most familiar verse in all the Bible is John 3:16. In that single verse, John tells us about God’s gift to humanity.
I. UNSPEAKABLE IN ITS NATURE
A. It was a Gift of Love.
1. Unmerited love (Rom. 5:7-8)
2. Unending love (Jer. 31:3)
B. It was a Gift of Life
II. UNSPEAKABLE IN ITS MEASURE
A. It is incredible.
"For God so loved the world."
B. It is indisputable.
" He gave his only begotten Son."
III. UNSPEAKABLE IN ITS PLEASURE
A. It brings peace (Rom. 5:1).
B. It brings pardon (Rom. 3:24).
C. It brings pleasure (1 Pet. 1:8).
