God's Gift To Your City!

*Jonah 4:11

To be God’s gift to our city we must do away with our notion about the people that God has sent us to.

God’s gift to the city is not the Historical part od the city (Ybor City)

- It’s not the big buildings or skyscrapers (the attractions like BUSH GARDENS OR SEA WORLD)

- It’s not the big businesses that come to the city.

- “It’s the church”

“To fulfill the Great Commission we must have a city impact”(Matt. 5:14-16)

You are the light of the world—ike a city on a mountain, glowing in the night for all to see. 15 Don’ hide your light under a basket! Instead, put it on a stand and let it shine for all. 16 In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.

How do we do this?

1. Each individual member must take responsibility for their own part of the pie.(MARK 16:15FF)

And then he told them, “o into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone, everywhere. 16 Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned. 17 These signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak new languages.* 18 They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’ hurt them. They will be able to place their hands on the sick and heal them.”

A. At home (in Judea)

B. At work or in the marketplace (in Jerusalem)

C. Out of the four walls of the church (in Samaria)

D. With our resources (The outermost parts of the earth)

2. Each individual member must become pregnant with Gods grace for the City.

Gods grace is manifested in self sacrifice. (2 Cor. 8:9)"You know the Grace (how full of love and kindness)of our Lord Jesus Christ . Though he was very rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that by his poverty he could make you rich".

- There is a procses of becoming pregnant

- There is a way to not be successful also. (If there is no intimacy, you will never have a baby!)Intimacy with Christ is of utmost importance!

Preayer, reading the word,spending quality time with the Lord.

-If there is no joining together. It will never happen.THE CHURCH MUST JOIN TOGETHER!

Unity(one mind in the spirit)

The marriage must be consummated.

3. Together we must become a “Kingdom driven church”.

What is a “Kingdom driven church?

1. It’s a church that is compassionate about the needs of its others.

2. It’s a church where each individual member does their part. (THERE IS POWER IN UNITY
