II. Trust

“And the Lord shall help them… because they trust in Him.” Psalm 37:40

Many Christians trust Doctors, Lawyers, friends, and etc. but fail to put their confidence in God. Proverbs 3:5-6

III. Rejoicing

“Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, rejoice.” Philippians 4:4

A. Most Christians fail to rejoice because they are overcome by stress from materialistic pressures.

B. Rejoicing in the Lord is a good antidote for stress.

IV. Endurance

“And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.” Hebrews 6:15

A. Many Christians fail to patiently endure.

B. To overcome stress they must learn to wait upon the Lord for His timing.

V. Self-Discipline

“But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection…” I Corinthians 9:27

A. Most Christians lack self-control and are weak-willed.

B. Self-discipline brings healing for stress.

VI. Service

“With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men.” Ephesians 6:7

A. When it comes to doing service for God, many Christians fail, because they are too busy, some are shy, and some are unconcerned.

B. Doing God’s work is another antidote for stress.
