From the day I brought them out of Egypt until this very day they've been behaving like this, leaving me for other gods. And now they're doing it to you.

1 Samuel 15:22 (The Message)

Then Samuel said, Do you think all God wants are sacrifices— empty rituals just for show? He wants you to listen to him! Plain listening is the thing, not staging a lavish religious production.

VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. GOD rewards the faithful

"and his faithfulness"

Luke 19:17 (Amplified Bible)

And he said to him, Well done, excellent bond servant! Because you have been faithful and trustworthy in a very little [thing], you shall have authority over ten cities.

1 Corinthians 15:58 (Amplified Bible)

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be firm (steadfast), immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord [always being superior, excelling, doing more than enough in the service of the Lord], knowing and being continually aware that your labor in the Lord is not futile [it is never wasted or to no purpose].

1 Timothy 1:12 (Amplified Bible)

I give thanks to Him Who has granted me [the needed] strength and made me able [for this], Christ Jesus our Lord, because He has judged and counted me faithful and trustworthy, appointing me to [this stewardship of] the ministry.

GOD is the Rewarder, He's always there, watching our every motive and every move, He rewards us abundantly though it's not our faithfulness that He has noticed for we have no faithfulness at all, but it is CHRIST faithful within us that caught His attention and love.

Romans 3:12 (Amplified Bible)

All have turned aside; together they have gone wrong and have become unprofitable and worthless; no one does right, not even one!

2 Timothy 2:13 (Amplified Bible)

If we are faithless [do not believe and are untrue to Him], He remains true (faithful to His Word and His righteous character), for He cannot deny Himself.

B. GOD rewards the righteous

"The Lord rewards every man for his righteousness"

Hebrews 10:35 (Amplified Bible)

Do not, therefore, fling away your fearless confidence, for it carries a great and glorious compensation of reward.

Proverbs 11:31 (Amplified Bible)

Behold, the [uncompromisingly] righteous shall be recompensed on earth; how much more the wicked and the sinner! And if the righteous are barely saved, what will become of the ungodly and wicked?

GOD is righteous, the LORD JESUS CHRIST is righteous in us.

Romans 3:22 (Amplified Bible)

Namely, the righteousness of God which comes by believing with personal trust and confident reliance on Jesus Christ (the Messiah). [And it is meant] for all who believe. For there is no distinction,

Romans 5:17 (Amplified Bible)

For if because of one man’s trespass (lapse, offense) death reigned through that one, much more surely will those who receive [God’s] overflowing grace (unmerited favor) and the free gift of righteousness [putting them into right standing with Himself] reign as kings in life through the one Man Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

C. We live by faith because we're righteous

"for the Lord delivered you into my hands today"

David, the man made out from GOD's heartbeat, he was given a chance to kill his enemy yet in his faithfulness to GOD (Not his own doing, because of CHRIST) did not killed King Saul.

All we have to do is believe and live in faith to the One who finished it all for us, the LORD JESUS CHRIST.

Romans 1:17 (Amplified Bible)

For in the Gospel a righteousness which God ascribes is revealed, both springing from faith and leading to faith [disclosed through the way of faith that arouses to more faith]. As it is written, The man who through faith is just and upright shall live and shall live by faith.

Habakkuk 2:4 (Amplified Bible)

Look at the proud; his soul is not straight or right within him, but the [rigidly] just and the [uncompromisingly] righteous man shall live by his faith and in his faithfulness.
