One Minute Sermon!
God Remembers, Forgives and Redeems
Isaiah 44:21-23 Amplified “Remember [the foolishness of] these things, O Jacob And Israel, for you are My servant! I formed you, you are My servant; O Israel, you will not be forgotten by Me. 22 “I have wiped out your transgressions like a thick cloud And your sins like a heavy mist. Return to Me, for I have redeemed you.” 23 Shout for joy, O heavens, for the LORD has done it! Shout in triumph, you depths of the earth; Break forth into jubilant rejoicing, you mountains, O forest, and every tree in it! For the LORD has redeemed Jacob, And He shows His glory in Israel.
In this 3 point outline we see 3 most wonderful promises and blessings God has for all. We only have to act and be blessed.
I. God reminds us that we belong to Him.
A. He calls us His servant.
1. He promises us that we are never forgotten as He always remembers us.
a. He know everything about us. Even the hairs of our head He knows.
b. Being His servant we must remember a servant serves, We need to serve God. Let us serve Him because we love Him.
II. He has forgiven us, redeemed us.
A. We were in the devil's Pawn Shop, but Jesus bought us back. Paying for our redemption with His precious blood.
1. We were bought with the greatest price. The Blood of Jesus.
a. When He redeemed us He forgave us our sins.
2. When God forgives He forgets. Only we remember and the devil who tries to continue to condemn us but Romans 8:1 tells us that 'There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, .........'
3 -. Forgiveness; it warms the heart and cools the sting of sin and conviction.
III. When we come to the place of not only receiving and returning to Him we then will 'Shout for joy, O heavens, for the LORD has done it! Shout in triumph,'
A. We can shout with the Psalmist Psalm 103:2-5 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: 3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; 4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; 5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
1. REMEMBER Joy is the by-product of obedience.
