INTRODUCTION:

Glory is the visible and tangible manifestation of God’s divine presence, character, and power. When we speak of the God of Glory, we speak of a God whose nature radiates splendour, honour, greatness, and majesty. His glory is not abstract—it is active and transforming. It can be seen, felt, and experienced.

Throughout the Bible, we see moments where God revealed His glory—at creation, on Mount Sinai, in the tabernacle, and most importantly through Jesus Christ. His glory brings light into darkness, power into weakness, and transformation into ordinary lives.

To encounter the God of Glory is to experience divine presence, supernatural change, and heaven’s atmosphere in the affairs of men. Let us explore what it means to serve the God of Glory and how we can position ourselves to carry His glory in our daily walk.

1. THE GOD OF GLORY REVEALS HIMSELF TO HIS PEOPLE

God delights in revealing His presence and glory to those who seek Him.

a) God’s Glory Is His Presence Made Visible (Exodus 33:18–22)

Moses longed not just for miracles, but for God Himself—His glory.

b) God’s Glory Sets His People Apart (Exodus 33:16)

It is the distinguishing mark of God’s people from the rest of the world.

c) Glory Comes Through Intimacy with God (James 4:8)

The closer we draw to God, the more of His glory we experience.

d) God Still Reveals His Glory Today (John 14:21)

He reveals Himself to those who love and obey Him.

Biblical Example: Stephen saw the glory of God as he was being martyred (Acts 7:55-56).

2. THE GLORY OF GOD BRINGS TRANSFORMATION

God’s glory does not leave a person the same; it changes, purifies, and empowers.

a) Glory Changes Our Countenance (2 Corinthians 3:18)

We are transformed from glory to glory by beholding Him.

b) God's Glory Breaks Yokes and Darkness (Isaiah 60:1-2)

Where His glory shines, darkness cannot remain.

c) Transformation Happens in His Presence (Psalm 34:5)

Those who look to Him are radiant and unashamed.

d) God's Glory Renews and Strengthens the Inner Man (Romans 8:18)

Our present sufferings are preparing us for a greater glory.

Biblical Example: Saul became Paul after encountering the glory of Christ (Acts 9:3-6).

3. GOD’S GLORY BRINGS VICTORY AND LIFTING

Wherever God’s glory is present, divine victory follows.

a) Glory Ushers in Divine Breakthrough (Psalm 24:7-10)

When the King of Glory enters, barriers are lifted.

b) God Fights from the Realm of His Glory (Exodus 14:24)

His glory confounds the enemy and defends His people.

c) Glory Lifts You from the Ashes (Isaiah 61:3)

He gives glory in place of shame and honour in place of disgrace.

d) God's Glory Opens Doors No Man Can Shut (Revelation 3:8)

His glory makes the impossible possible.

Biblical Example: The ark of God’s glory brought victory to Israel when honoured (Joshua 6:20).

4. JESUS IS THE FULLNESS OF GOD'S GLORY

To see Jesus is to see the express image and glory of God.

a) Jesus Revealed the Glory of the Father (John 1:14)

He is the Word made flesh and the radiance of divine glory.

b) The Glory That Was Lost in Eden Was Restored in Christ (Romans 3:23-24)

We now access God’s glory through redemption.

c) Christ in You Is the Hope of Glory (Colossians 1:27)

His presence in us makes us carriers of glory.

d) We Are Called to Reflect His Glory to the World (Matthew 5:14-16)

Our lives should shine with His glory in a dark world.

Biblical Example: At the Mount of Transfiguration, Jesus’ divine glory was revealed (Matthew 17:1-5).

CONCLUSION:

The God of Glory is not a distant deity. He is a present God who reveals Himself in splendour to His children. His glory transforms, empowers, heals, and lifts. When you carry His glory, you become a vessel of light, change, and power in a dark world.

Seek His face, long for His presence, and you will experience the glory that sets you apart and makes you victorious. Let the world see His glory through your life.

PRAYER POINTS:

1. Father, show me Your glory and let Your presence be real in my life.

2. Lord, transform me daily by Your glorious presence.

3. Let Your glory destroy every darkness around my destiny.

4. I receive grace to reflect Your glory to my generation.

5. Father, let my life be a carrier of Your presence and glory.
