Summary: The love of God for man is unconditional and extravagant. It envelopes the heart of every human being including you. God loves you beyond your imagination.

TEXT: JOHN 3:16

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

This wonderful and popular scripture points out some salient points which concerns every living soul.

1. "For God so loved the world..."

This love is extravagant and unconditional. God loves you so much that nothing can separate you from his love.

2. "...That He gave his only begotten Son..."

God gave Jesus, his only begotten Son, as a gift to the world. Jesus shed his blood as a ransom for man. He did this to reconcile humans back to God.

3. "...That whosoever believeth in him..."

Anyone who trusts in him and accepts what he did on the cross of calvary. Anyone who acknowledge their sins, confesses, forsakes and receives Jesus as saviour. Whosoever allows the Holy Spirit to enter their hearts and begin the work of regeneration by purging, purifying and sanctifying their hearts. Anyone who is baptised into Christ by dying to sin (flesh) and quickened in the spirit (being alive in the spirit). Whosoever is born again in the spirit and have crucified the flesh to the cross.

4. "...Should not perish..."

Shall not die spiritually; they shall not be living flesh and dead in the spirit but a living soul. Shall not be thrown into the lake of fire on the day of judgment.

5. "...But have everlasting life..."

Be transformed from mortality to immortality, from corruption to incorruption at the sound of the trumpet. Live eternally with Jesus when he returns. Those who are alive at his coming will be caught up to be with Christ in heavenly places (rapture) while those who died in Christ will arise from their graves to be with him forever.

God loves you.

Jesus died for you.

You need to believe and receive Jesus as your saviour.

Then you will pass from death to life.

Not just any life but eternal life with Jesus in heavenly places.

The choice is your.

PRAYER:

Father, thank you for loving me so much. Thank you for dying for my sins. Thank you for the seed of eternal life you have sown in me in Jesus name.

CONFESSION:

I belong to God's family.

God bless you. Shalom.
