GOD IS OVER ALL

Romans 9:5 5 To them belong the patriarchs, and from their race, according to the flesh, is the Christ, who is God over all, blessed forever. Amen.

Christ is over all.

Over all our worries.

Let me begin, by telling you an awesome story.

Around 6 years ago, I began to have a pain around the midsection of my chest. It just wouldn't go away. I went to the doctor, and he sent me to have an ultrasound. After having the ultrasound, they told me that there was a spot on my liver. They then, sent me to have an MRI ran. I had the mri ran on Friday, so they told me they would send the results to my doctor, and he would receive them on Monday, and would tell me the results. Well, of course that meant I had all weekend to worry. I know that we shouldn't worry, we should have enough faith, but I still was very concerned about a spot being on my liver. So at church that following Sundaly, I went up to the altar, and requested prayer. The pastor, and several of my brother's and sisters in CHrist came and prayed for me. WHen I got home, and went to bed, I asked the Lord, to show me a sign that all would be okay. I lay there, and nothing happened. I drifted off to sleep, and sometime during the night, i awoke, and Romans 9:5 came to me . I didn't know what this verse said, so I went into my office at home, and turned my bible to Romans 9:5. This is what it said.......5 To them belong the patriarchs, and from their race, according to the flesh, is the Christ, who is God over all, blessed forever. Amen.

I knew that this was from God. He was telling me that Christ was God over all. I knew then, that all would be okay. When I went to the doctor on Monday, he had the results from my MRI. He said that spot had probably been there all my life, that it was nothing at all. I later found out, that the pain I was having was from my Gall bladder. I had surgery to remove it, and all was okay.

I gave that testimony just to say this.

Christ is over all.

Over all our worries, and concerns.

Over all sickness, and disease........

1st Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

CHRIST IS OVER ALL OUR FEARS..

The bible tells us , that Jesus was asleep in the bottom of the boat, when a storm came up. Some of His disciples went down to wake Him up. They said " Jesus, don't you care that we will perish. What did Jesus ask them? He said "Why are you afraid, Where is your faith.

I think that is what Jesus was saying to me, when I was afraid of that spot on my liver. Why do you fear, where is your faith?

(illustration) A little boy was afraid of the dark. His mother was cooking one afternoon, and told the litle boy to go down into the cellar, and get some grape jelly. The little boy told her he was afraid. She said, don't worry son, Jesus will be down there with you. The little boy walked to the cellar door, and opened the door, stuck his arm out,and said , Jesus , would you hand me a jar of grape jelly please.

CHRIST IS OVER ALL OUR FAILURES.

Jesus sees our potential, and knows what we are capable of doing. He looks past our faults and failures, and see's what we can be with His guidance.

I think that He saw that Saul, would become Paul.

Abram, would become Abraham

I believe he saw that Peter, the one who denied Him 3 times, would become a great preacher, after being empowered by the Holy Spirit.

Christ is over all our sins

HE died for our past, present, and future sins. He knows what we are going to do, even before we do it.

God is all knowing, all powerful, and always present.

1st Timothy 1:15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief

Jesus died for all our sins. Yours, and mine.

JESUS IS OVER OUR TEMPTATION..

1st Cor. 10:13

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
