INTRODUCTION:

Life is a journey filled with ups and downs, victories and challenges, breakthroughs and delays. There are moments when it may seem like nothing is changing, and we may be tempted to think that God has forgotten us. However, the truth remains: God is not finished with you yet! Whatever He has started in your life, He will surely complete it. Just because you are facing difficulties does not mean your story is over. God is still writing your testimony, and what lies ahead is far greater than anything you have experienced. This sermon will encourage us to trust in God's process, hold on to His promises, and walk in faith knowing that He is still at work in our lives.

1. GOD WORKS IN SEASONS

God does not operate on human timelines; He works in seasons, and each season serves a purpose in our journey.

a) The Season of Preparation

Before God launches you into your destiny, He prepares you. Just as Joseph had to go through slavery and imprisonment before stepping into his role as prime minister, God may take you through a season of refining before revealing His full plan (Genesis 37-41).

b) The Season of Waiting

Waiting is never easy, but it is often necessary for spiritual growth. God's timing is perfect, and when we trust Him in the waiting, we are strengthened and matured (Isaiah 40:31).

c) The Season of Testing

God allows us to go through tests to refine our character and strengthen our faith. Job faced severe trials, but in the end, God restored him double for all his losses (Job 42:12).

d) The Season of Manifestation

When God is ready, He brings His promises to fulfillment. No matter how long it takes, what He has spoken over your life will surely come to pass (Habakkuk 2:3).

e) Biblical Example: Abraham

Abraham had to wait for 25 years before Isaac was born, but God remained faithful to His promise (Genesis 21:1-3).

2. GOD'S PROMISES NEVER FAIL

What God has promised will come to pass, even if it seems delayed.

a) God is Not a Man That He Should Lie

Numbers 23:19 assures us that God does not lie. If He has spoken it, He will bring it to fulfillment.

b) His Plans Are for Good

Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us that God's plans for us are for good and not for evil, to give us hope and a future.

c) His Word Will Not Return Void

Isaiah 55:11 declares that whatever God has spoken will accomplish its purpose.

d) He Completes What He Starts

Philippians 1:6 reassures us that God finishes the good work He begins in us.

e) Biblical Example: The Israelites in Canaan

God promised Israel a land flowing with milk and honey. Though they faced battles, His promise came to pass (Joshua 21:45).

3. OVERCOMING DISCOURAGEMENT DURING THE PROCESS

During the journey, there will be moments of discouragement, but we must remain steadfast.

a) Avoid Comparing Yourself to Others

Comparison leads to frustration. God has a unique plan for everyone (2 Corinthians 10:12).

b) Trust in God's Timing

Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us that everything has its appointed time.

c) Strengthen Yourself in the Lord

Like David, when you feel weak, encourage yourself in the Lord (1 Samuel 30:6).

d) Stay in the Word and in Prayer

The Word of God renews our strength and reminds us of His faithfulness (Romans 10:17).

e) Biblical Example: Elijah

Elijah was discouraged and wanted to give up, but God renewed his strength and gave him a fresh assignment (1 Kings 19:4-8).

4. WHEN GOD SEEMS SILENT, HE IS STILL WORKING

Even when it looks like nothing is happening, God is still at work behind the scenes.

a) God's Silence is Not His Absence

Lamentations 3:25-26 teaches us that the Lord is good to those who wait on Him.

b) He is Aligning Things for Your Good

Romans 8:28 assures us that all things work together for good to those who love God.

c) He is Testing and Strengthening Your Faith

James 1:2-4 tells us that trials produce endurance and spiritual maturity.

d) He is Preparing the Right People and Opportunities

Before Joseph became a leader, God positioned the right people (Pharaoh’s butler) to recommend him (Genesis 41:9-14).

e) Biblical Example: Lazarus' Resurrection

Jesus delayed coming when Lazarus was sick, but His timing brought greater glory (John 11:1-44).

5. GOD WILL FINISH WHAT HE STARTED IN YOU

You may not be where you want to be yet, but you are not where you used to be.
