Summary: The writer believes God is His keeper.
Psalm 121: “The Lord is My keeper
1. The Lord Is My Keeper
• As I was preparing this message I read this story about a lighthouse Keeper. Sally Snowman. She was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary who lived and worked at Boston Light for 20 years. Her duties were keeping watch at the Light house
2. The Word Keeper The word keeper (Hebrew: Shamar) means:
• It means to keep, to guard, to watch over, to treasure. From this root also comes the word Shomer (which means keeper, guardian. Together they give us a beautiful picture of God: not only is He strong enough to protect us, but He treasures us so much that He chooses to.
• Think of a parent watching over their sleeping child. They don’t sit nearby out of duty, but out of love. Their eyes are fixed on the child with affection, ready to protect, comfort, and keep them safe.
3. God is the Keeper, consider some of the names of God and there meaning
• Jehovah-Jireh (or Yahweh-Jireh): "The Lord Will Provide." This name teaches that God sees needs and takes care of them.
• Jehovah-Raah (or Rohi): "The Lord is My Shepherd." This emphasizes God's active, gentle care, leading, and feeding of His people.

• He stands at your right hand—your place of vulnerability, your place of need.
6. God The Keeper, Keeps us Completely — He will keep your going out and your coming in
• One commentator said, “This is a Hebrew expression meaning: “Every part of your life, from beginning to end.”
• Your steps, Your decisions Your family, Your future, Your soul”
7. Finally, The Good news about God the Keeper is Forevermore — The Keeper Who Never stops keeping
