God is light. What does this mean? How does this reality impact our lives? And how can we, as humble vessels, reflect this divine light to a world shrouded in darkness? So, let us now turn our hearts and minds to the Word of God as we delve into the depths of divine illumination, explore how darkness is defeated by divine light, and understand the victory of light over darkness.
A. The first aspect of this truth that we need to understand is the nature of God as light. Light, in its purest form, is untainted by darkness. It's pure, it's radiant, and it's illuminating. Similarly, God, in His divine nature, is pure, radiant, and illuminating. He is untainted by sin, unmarred by evil, and untouched by darkness. His nature is holy, righteous, and good.
B. The second aspect of this truth that we need to grasp is the absence of darkness in God. Darkness, in the biblical sense, often represents sin, evil, and death. But in God, there is no darkness at all. This means that there is no sin in God, no evil in God, and no death in God. He is the embodiment of life, love, and light.
