GOD IS LIGHT

Isaiah 60:2"For behold, darkness will cover the earth And deep darkness the peoples; But the LORD will rise upon you And His glory will appear upon you.”

Darkness: The words ‘people are in DEEP DARKNESS’ touched my heart, yes, darkness cover the earth but the people are in deep darkness. They are in deep ….neck-deep in debts, they are deeply involved in adulterous relationships, people sit and watch movies that portray adulterous relationship, they then conclude that it is norm. People have their heads deeply stuck into their mobiles 24/7, people are deeply engrossed studying all the technology, astrology and astronomy but they have no time for the Bible, no wonder the people are in deep darkness. The world is boiling today because they are in deep darkness and they prefer that, read: For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.”(John 3:20)Are you listening?

There was this family in our neighborhood who were very fond of keeping their entire house fully lighted up, they had not one but many bright tube lights even in the car parking area; however, the lady of that house would pick up quarrels with everyone for very small reasons and make it big and some had even been escalated up to the police station. People who keep their houses flooded with lights, alas, have their hearts darkened with anger, envy and bitterness. We need to bring such people to the True Light Jesus Christ! I had volunteered many times and visited the above house, preached the Gospel to them and prayed.( Mathew 4:16 The people who were sitting in darkness saw a great Light.)

However, there are another group of people who claim to know God but still they are indulging in the acts of darkness. Romans 1:21 “For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened.” People who watch movies for 3 hours but find no times to sit and read the Bible for ten minutes, people who spend the whole night playing video games but find no time to attend all-night prayer at church, people who take leave to attend birthday parties but find no time to attend prayer meetings in the church are all walking in darkness. Friend, light is found inside God, so if we do not have fellowship with God then slowly the light would wane and then darkness would creep in. Are you listening? Caveat!

There are another group of people who say they are walking in light with one leg in darkness, (1 John 1:6) like Judas Iscariot; however, this is dangerous as we see the end of Judas. Friend, there are many sitting in church pews, who pretend to be religious but they are filled with darkness. Romans 13: 12”…let us lay aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.” Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that.

Brightness !

Isaiah 60: 3"Nations will come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.”

Kings to the brightness of your rising! These words kind of blew my mind! I am not an ordinary person, the moment Christ comes inside me, then His glory comes upon me, when this happens then, I am called the light of this earth. The Bible says “Arise, shine; for your light has come, And the glory of the LORD has risen upon you.” (Isaiah 60:1) Hallelujah! Once you understand who you are in Christ, then your walk, talk and your attitude should change and must change!

I am not talking about living a double standard life with a big cross on your neck, Bible in your hands but bitterness and envy in your heart, the Bible says “If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.” (I John 1:6) Walking with God is always going to be lonely because you may have to shed all things related to darkness, in order for us to fellowship with God who is Light for the Bible says: 1 John 1:5”..God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.” Amen. Did you read that? There is no darkness at all in Him! Amen.

Kings will come to your ‘BRIGHTNESS’! Amen. Such should be your brightness, because your God is not outside of you but inside you so imagine the light that you should emit! Let me tell who your God is: “He walks in the midst of 7 lampstands, in His right hand He held seven stars and His eyes were like a flame of fire.” (Revelations 1:12-20)This God dwells inside you! Imagine! Friend, in the first chapter of 1 John, John talks a lot about fellowship, its through fellowship with godly people that we can have light in us, look what he says, “so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ.” (I John 1:3)
