God Is Keeping The Record

Our life is full of records, we have a record when we were born, we have a record of when we got our shots, our visits to the doctor, when we go to school they keep records, the police even have a record of you if you’ve ever been into trouble, if you have ever been in the military they have a record of it, you see whether you ever realized it or not everybody keeps records not only here, but the Bible says in Job 16:19 " Also now, behold my wittness is in Heaven, and MY RECORD IS ON HIGH." You see God is keeping a record on you, in fact over in Prov. 15:3 the Bible says " The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good." You see my friend God knows EVERY WHERE WE GO, WHAT WE DO, WHAT WE SAY, and it may seem like noone is around but my friend, God is their and He’s keeping the record. Friend listen to me this morning we may think were getting by when we miss church, we may think were getting by when we say no to the wooing and drawing of the Holy Spirit, when we rob God of our Tythes and offerings, but my friend you mark it down God is Keeping the Record, the Bible says MY RECORD IS ON HIGH. In Ps. 56:8 " Thou tellest my wanderings, put thou my tears into thy bottle, are they not in thy book." God knows every tear that you ever shed, whether they be tears of joy, or tears of sorrow, grief, or maybe even hurt over a lost love one and he puts them into his book, God is keeping the record and my friend one day we will stand before him and veiw that record, the Bible says in Rom. 14:11 " For it is written as I live saith the Lord every knee shall bow to me and every tongue shall confess to God, so then everyone of us shall give account of himself to God." There is no escaping it, all I know is that when I stand before him there are some things that I want to see on my record

#1 I’M SAVED- I didn’t say joined a church, got baptized, or went through some ritual, I want to see that my name is recorded in the Lambs Book of Life, and the only way that you will ever see that is if you have trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, John 14:6 Jesus himself said " I am the way the Truth and the Life, no man cometh to the Father but by me." Acts 4:12 " Neither is their salvation in any other, for their is none other name under Heaven given among men, wherby we must be saved." Titus 3:5 " Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost." Eph. 2:8-9 " FOR BY GRACE ARE YE SAVED THROUGH FAITH, AND THAT NOT OF YOURSELVES, IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD: NOT OF WORKS LEST ANY MAN SHOULD BOAST" You see my friend it is nothing that you can do, why because it has already been done on Calvary, when Jesus cried out IT IS FINISHED He meant just that he had met the demands that a Holy and Righteous God had placed on sin, but listen to me I believe that their are those today are holding on to what they have done and if that is the case one day there going to have a rude awakening. Listen we are living in the last days, and I don’t believe it is going to be much longer, if there is one thing that I would want to be certain of it is that my name is recorded in the Lambs Book of life, look at Rev. 21:15 " And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was CAST INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE." But not only that I’m SAVED but also

#2 BAPTIZED- I want to see wher I took that first step of obedience and got Baptized, now let me say this has nothing to do with your salvation, your just showing or giving a testamony that you have trusted in the Death Burial and the Ressurection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, IT IS AN OUTWARD EXPRESSION OF AN INWARD CHANGE, and I found that everyone in the Bible who got saved then got Baptized, Now take time to read these scriptures, Acts 2:37-41.... 8:12-16....8:35-38...9:17, 10:44-48, you see when the Lord gave the Great Commission in Matt;28:19 " Go ye therefore and teach all nations BAPTIZEING them ....." It is a commandment of God, I believe that if your saved and never been Baptized then you are living in willful disobedience to the commandments of God.
