Intro: This prophecy centers around the hatred the Edomites had for Israel.
Edomites = were decedents of Esau & they held a grudge because Jacob had cheated their ancestor out of his birthright.
The Edomites refused Israel passage through their country (Num. 20)
They rejoiced over the capture of Jerusalem (Ps. 137:7)

God’s near judgment of Edom in history (vv. 1–14) was a preview of His far judgment on all nations (vv. 15,16) who refuse to bow to His sovereignty

Answer----They did nothing while the enemy overtook God chosen.
There is an enemy who “walketh about seeking whom he may devour”
God will not hold guiltless those who could help
Folks, there’s a generation that is struggling against the enemy, and WE HAVE THE ANSWER, we got to go get them.
