Summary: To show that GOD give us His plans to live out for the rest of our lives and He will not allow the enemy to even touch us.

I. EXORDIUM:

Are your plans good?

No. I don't plan but I live out GOD's plan in my life.

For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.

Believers/unbelievers

III. OBJECTIVES:

To show that GOD give us His plans to live out for the rest of our lives and He will not allow the enemy to even touch us.

IV. TEXT:

Luke 11:12 (Amplified Bible)

Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion?

V. THESIS:

Praise, worship, glorify, adore, bless, honor, acknowledge and thank You very much LORD JESUS for You are my Planner and You will execute Your plans in my life.

VI. TITLE:

GOD gives us His plans not the enemy's

VII. EXPLICATION:

B. Audience: Theophilus (Greek means friend of GOD, a Christian)

C. Purpose: To give a connected and orderly narrative of the life of CHRIST as seen by eyewitnesses

VIII. MAIN BODY:

Luke 11:12 (Amplified Bible)

Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion?

Luke 11:12 (King James Version)

Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?

A. GOD gives us His plans not our plans

"Or if he shall ask an egg,"

Egg symbolizes men's evil plans, the plans of this world.

Jeremiah 17:11 (Amplified Bible)

Like the partridge that gathers a brood which she did not hatch and sits on eggs which she has not laid, so is he who gets riches by unjust means and not by right. He will leave them, or they will leave him, in the midst of his days, and at his end he will be a fool.

Can that which has no taste to it be eaten without salt? Or is there any flavor in the white of an egg?

Men's plans of this world are tasteless, they can't accomplished anything in our lives. However GOD's plans are glorious for us.

Jeremiah 29:11 (Amplified Bible)

For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.

B. GOD will not give us up the enemy's plans

"will he offer him a scorpion?"

Scorpion symbolizes the enemy.

Luke 10:19 (Amplified Bible)

Behold! I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and ability] over all the power that the enemy [possesses]; and nothing shall in any way harm you.

Ezekiel 2:6 (Amplified Bible)

And you, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words; though briers and thorns are all around you and you dwell and sit among scorpions, be not afraid of their words nor be dismayed at their looks, for they are a rebellious house.

The enemy's plans is to destroy us, but the LORD's plans is to give us eternal life.

John 10:10 (Amplified Bible)

The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).
