VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. We call upon GOD

"I cry out to God Most High"

Joel 1:14 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

Announce a time of fasting; call the people together for a solemn meeting. Bring the leaders and all the people of the land into the Temple of the Lord your God, and cry out to him there.

Psalms 140:6 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

I said to the Lord, “You are my God!” Listen, O Lord, to my cries for mercy!

Hebrews 4:16 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.

1. We come to GOD and approach His Throne of Grace, not the other way around. We keep on saying if GOD really loves me, He'll do this or that, He already done it before the foundation of the world. All we have to do is come to Him to receive. The requester comes, the Giver waits. It's not the other way around. If we acknowledge GOD is our Savior, we come to Him after you hear the WORD of GOD, come to Him. Be humble and come to Him. If it gonna take you to eat all your pride, remove it, GOD gives grace to the humble but He resists the proud.

Proverbs 3:34 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

The Lord mocks the mockers but is gracious to the humble.

James 4:6 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

But he gives us even more grace to stand against such evil desires. As the Scriptures say, “God opposes the proud but favors the humble.”

1 Peter 5:5 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

In the same way, you younger men must accept the authority of the elders. And all of you, serve each other in humility, for “God opposes the proud but favors the humble.”

B. The GOD in Heaven

"to God Most High, to God"

ALL the GLORY belongs to GOD alone, don't touch the glory for yourself unless you die. GOD did it. Thru His Grace, I am what I am. Thru GOD, I can do all things. At the end of the day, GOD receives all the glory, honor and credit due His Name. Start acting like Apostle Paul.

Job 42:2 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

“I know that you can do anything, and no one can stop you.

2 Corinthians 12:9 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.

Philippians 4:13 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.

1 Corinthians 15:10 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

But whatever I am now, it is all because God poured out his special favor on me—and not without results. For I have worked harder than any of the other apostles; yet it was not I but God who was working through me by his grace.

1 Corinthians 15:10 (New International Version)

But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them--yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.

Ephesians 2:8 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.

1 Corinthians 15:10 (Amplified Bible)

But by the GRACE (the unmerited favor and blessing) of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not [found to be] for nothing (fruitless and without effect). In fact, I worked harder than all of them [the apostles], though it was not really I, but the grace (the unmerited favor and blessing) of God which was with me.

C. The GOD who gives us our needs.
