VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. Our sins and lawbreaking

"He then goes on to say, And their sins and their lawbreaking"

Hebrews 8:8-12 (Amplified Bible)

8:8 However, He finds fault with them [showing its inadequacy] when He says, Behold, the days will come, says the Lord, when I will make and ratify a new covenant or agreement with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.

8:9 It will not be like the covenant that I made with their forefathers on the day when I grasped them by the hand to help and relieve them and to lead them out from the land of Egypt, for they did not abide in My agreement with them, and so I withdrew My favor and disregarded them, says the Lord.

8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will imprint My laws upon their minds, even upon their innermost thoughts and understanding, and engrave them upon their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.

8:11 And it will nevermore be necessary for each one to teach his neighbor and his fellow citizen or each one his brother, saying, Know (perceive, have knowledge of, and get acquainted by experience with) the Lord, for all will know Me, from the smallest to the greatest of them.

8:12 For I will be merciful and gracious toward their sins and I will remember their deeds of unrighteousness no more.

Sin is "noun" came from the Greek word:"hamartia" meaning:

1. that which is done wrong, sin, an offence, a violation of the divine law in thought or in act

2. collectively, the complex or aggregate of sins committed either by a single person or by many

3. to miss or wander from the path of uprightness and honour,to do or go wrong

4. to wander from the law of God, violate God’s law, sin

Iniquities or "law-breaking" came from the Greek word:"anomia" meaning:

1. the condition of without law , caused either by ignorance, or violation.

2. contempt and violation of law, iniquity, wickedness

Man sins and ignores sins, in both man is guilty. If a so-called grace ministry says that their no longer under the law, thinks they outsmarted GOD, but they need to think again, they have piled up their iniquities because their condition is without law. Simply put, admit that you're born a sinner and that you have violated GOD's laws, then you will receive forgiveness from GOD.

B. Are not remembered by the LORD

"I will remember no more"

The word "remember" or Greek word of "mnaomai" means: to remind, (an action-word, a verb) it takes "actions" of faith to remember, both in the party of GOD and men, so it never takes action to forget, we simply forget, not doing an action. Anything that is not done is tend to be forgotten. It requires a lot of decisions and actions to remember GOD. Though GOD knows everything, it' an action word for Him to regularly forgets everything about our sins and iniquities, it's opposite with us.
