To show that only GOD can establish us to Himself if we only allow Him and choose that path.

Now to him who is able to establish you by my gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past,

GOD can establish us to Himself if we only allow Him and choose that path.

D. Purpose: To prepare Roman believers for his long awaited visit.

VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. GOD established us by the Gospel

"Now to him who is able to establish you by my gospel"

1. The word "established" came from the Greek word: "sterizo" meaning to "set fast", "turn resolutely in a certain direction", "to confirm", "to strengthen", "stedfastly set"

We can't be established with anything in this world, only GOD can established us thru His Word and His Presence. If you will look for other things to establish you it can't be done, emptiness prevails and you can't even set yourself to stand straight for GOD does that. To illustrate, is when you have undergone 40 days and 40 nights of prayer and fasting and you're so hungry and you can't even stand up straight because lack of nourishment from physical food, but the thing is you can still stand up, WHY??, it's only because of the LORD JESUS CHRIST that stands you up.

Nothing important, no one's important, only the LORD JESUS CHRIST is important and worth knowing and worth sharing, the life that the LORD JESUS CHRIST have given us, concentrate, focus, prioritize and put all your energies on the LORD JESUS CHRIST, He is the Gospel, He is the GOOD NEWS! The HEAD of the Church, we declare Him to the world, because we are His body.

None of the rulers of this age or world perceived and recognized and understood this, for if they had, they would never have crucified the Lord of glory.

The GOSPEL is hidden even to the god of this world that nears his judgment because if they only knew they would never crucified the LORD of LORDS and KING of all KINGS. Because in CHRIST's crucifixion, there's liberty from all sins. There's victory in His Crucifixion because He will live His Precious Life in us, within us, that's about it. Without the cross, there's no throne. We already have the throne because of His Cross and never again to experience the cross.

Galatians 2:20 (Amplified Bible)

I have been crucified with Christ [in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ (the Messiah) lives in me; and the life I now live in the body I live by faith in (by adherence to and reliance on and complete trust in) the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself up for me.
