VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. When CHRIST came into this world, He said, "Sacrifice and offering you did not desire"

"Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said: "Sacrifice and offering you did not desire,"

Psalms 40:6-8 (Amplified Bible)

40:6 Sacrifice and offering You do not desire, nor have You delight in them; You have given me the capacity to hear and obey [Your law, a more valuable service than] burnt offerings and sin offerings [which] You do not require.

40:7 Then said I, Behold, I come; in the volume of the book it is written of me;

40:8 I delight to do Your will, O my God; yes, Your law is within my heart.

Isaiah 1:11 (Amplified Bible)

1:11 To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices to Me [unless they are the offering of the heart]? says the Lord. I have had enough of the burnt offerings of rams and the fat of fed beasts [without obedience]; and I do not delight in the blood of bulls or of lambs or of he-goats [without righteousness].

Jeremiah 6:20 (Amplified Bible)

6:20 To what purpose does frankincense come to Me from Sheba [in southwestern Arabia] and the sweet cane from a far country? Your burnt offerings are not acceptable, nor are your sacrifices sweet or pleasing to Me.

JESUS as GOD and our Maker, knows what He wants, He wants our bodies offered to Him as Living Sacrifice, what good is a dead sacrifice anyways? But He can't accept our bodies because it's been tainted by sin, so He offered His own in our place.

Romans 12:1 (Amplified Bible)

12:1 I APPEAL to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship.

B. When CHRIST came into this world, He was given a body

"but a body you prepared for me;"

Hebrews 10:10 (Amplified Bible)

10:10 And in accordance with this will [of God], we have been made holy (consecrated and sanctified) through the offering made once for all of the body of Jesus Christ (the Anointed One).

Hebrews 2:14 (Amplified Bible)

2:14 Since, therefore, [these His] children share in flesh and blood [in the physical nature of human beings], He [Himself] in a similar manner partook of the same [nature], that by [going through] death He might bring to nought and make of no effect him who had the power of death—that is, the devil—

Hebrews 8:3 (Amplified Bible)

8:3 For every high priest is appointed to offer up gifts and sacrifices; so it is essential for this [High Priest] to have some offering to make also.

1 Timothy 3:16 (Amplified Bible)

3:16 And great and important and weighty, we confess, is the hidden truth (the mystic secret) of godliness. He [God] was made visible in human flesh, justified and vindicated in the [Holy] Spirit, was seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, [and] taken up in glory.

Our bodies should be the Temple of the HOLY SPIRIT but it can't serve it's purpose because it was tainted with sin, so CHRIST offered His own Temple willingly to be destroyed in our place.

John 2:19 (Amplified Bible)

2:19 Jesus answered them, Destroy (undo) this temple, and in three days I will raise it up again.

Our salvation covers liberty, deliverance, prosperity, safety, as based on Hebrew word:"yesha yesha" (2 Samuel 23:5)
