God Desires To Heal You

Summary: An outreach Sermon preached at the Powerpoint healing meeting. Jesus made His intention to heal clear many times in the sciptures, but none more clear than in Matthew 8
JER 30:17
17 For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD;
In 99 we saw many people healed by the power of the risen Jesus Christ
*Rectal Cancer healed
*Lukemia healed
*Breast cancer healed
*Asthma healed
*Dieabeties healed
*head pains healed
* Back problems healed
*Emotional problems healed
*Complaints relating to curses healed.
And much much more, We can say with confidence that Jesus heals and sets free.
Do you believe it:???
Whiether you believe it or not Jesus believes in you. and wants to see you free. not only from your sickness but also from that burden of sin that holds you down.
One of the enemy’s most effective strategies is to convince us that we cannot trust God. In fact, satan’s first deception of mankind began with an accuation of Gods heart toward us and a challenge to the truthfulness of His word
(see Genesis 3:1-6)
3:1 The serpent was the craftiest of all the creatures the Lord God had made. So the serpent came to the woman. "Really?" he asked. "None of the fruit in the garden? God says you mustn’t eat any of it?"
2 "Of course we may eat it," the woman told him.
3 "It’s only the fruit from the tree at the center of the garden that we are not to eat. God says we mustn’t eat it or even touch it, or we will die."
4 "That’s a lie!" the serpent hissed. "You’ll not die!
5 God knows very well that the instant you eat it you will become like him, for your eyes will be opened--you will be able to distinguish good from evil!"
6 The woman was convinced. How lovely and fresh looking it was! And it would make her so wise! So she ate some of the fruit and gave some to her husband, and he ate it too.
In a similar way, satan has corrupted our theology of healing with accusations concerning God’s intentions toward us and subtle suspicions that we cannot believe His word.
As a result many have forgotten that it is the enemy of our souls who is actively seeking to kill, steal, and destroy (John10:10)
10 The thief’s purpose is to steal, kill and destroy. My purpose is to give life in all its fullness.
11 "I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
Many have been decieved into thinking that God is responsible for, or indifferent to, sickness and disease in the world.
Thankfully we have a picture of what the Father is really like. !!!!
We have a clear and perfect revelation of the Father in the person of Jesus. If we want to know the Fathers heart. We need only look at how Jesus responded to situations when he walked the earth.
To know Gods heart for healing we need to discover Jesus’ heart for healing.
SO Does God want to heal everyone?
The bible records many instances where Jesus healed every one who came to Him.
Remarkably however there is one instance where Jesus initially refused to heal a person
22 A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is suffering terribly from demon-possession."
23 Jesus did not answer a word. So his disciples came to him and urged him, "Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us."
24 He answered, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel."
25 The woman came and knelt before him. "Lord, help me!" she said.
26 He replied, "It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to their dogs."
27 "Yes, Lord," she said, "but even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters’ table."
28 Then Jesus answered, "Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted." And her daughter was healed from that very hour.
A gentile woman came to Jesus asking Him to heal Her daughter. When the woman asked Jesus to heal her daughter He ignored her at first, when she kept asking, He told her it was not right for hinm to help her. But finally, when she kept asking, He healed her daughter and commended her faith. This being the only time when Jesus refused to heal anyone, it is recorded he still ended up healing the girl
If this is the only time Jesus refused and yet still healed, then we also need to be persistent as we pursue God for healing.
This woman respectfully persued Jesus because she knew the depth of His mercy and the depth of her need. By understanding the Fathers heart for healing, she obtained healing for her daughter.
