Psalm 78:1-20 "GOD Can"

The Questioners Analyzed - 19 Yea, they spake against God;

A. They Were Forgetful Of -

His Person -

1 Give ear, O my people, to my law: incline your ears to the words of my mouth. His Power -

4 We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done. His Promise -

5 For he established a testimony in Jacob and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children: His Practice -

12 Marvellous things did he in the sight of their fathers, in the land of Egypt, in the field of Zoan.

His Protection -

13 He divided the sea, and caused them to pass through; and he made the waters to stand as an heap.

His Presence -

14 In the daytime also he led them with a cloud, and all the night with a light of fire.

His Provision -

15 He clave the rocks in the wilderness, and gave them drink as out of the great depths.

His Patience -

17 And they sinned yet more against him by provoking the most High in the wilderness.

B. They Were Foolish -

19 Yea, they spake against God; they said, Can God furnish a table in the wilderness? C. They Were Faithless -

20 Behold, he smote the rock, that the waters gushed out, and the streams overflowed;

can he give bread also? can he provide flesh for his people? The Question Asked - 19 Can God furnish a table in the wilderness?

The Question Answered - GOD Can

I. GOD Can Deliver HIS People - 12 Marvellous things did he in Egypt

From Sin, From Satan, From Sorrow, From Suffering. Hebrews 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

15 and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. II. GOD Can Discern their Problems - 13 "He divided the sea..."

III. GOD Can Direct their Paths - 14 "He led them with a cloud..."

IV. GOD Can Dispense their Provisions - 15 "He clave the rocks...and gave them drink" He Alone Gives - Love, Life, Light, & Liberty.

2. CAN GOD Restore the Sick? - HE CAN

3. CAN GOD Relieve the Suffering? - HE CAN
