From the desk of Pastor Roy,

I got my first cup of coffee and slowly moseyed to my front porch. Walking to the banister putting my elbows there I sipped my coffee. I looked around my neighborhood, I kinda live on a small knoll, and it seemed so peaceful. The birds were singing, they were flying around and there was what seemed like 500 birds on the main electrical line running across the road. My dog Lecee lay beside me watching the cat on the porch across the way. I just had to thank God for this day and all my days that he had taken care of me even in my doubt sometimes that I wasn't going to get things my way. Smiling to myself I could see it now better than when I was going through it. God loves us and cares for us.

I know He’s with me and will be with me until I go home to be with him. I get great comfort from that within my very soul.

I pray for the ones that are healthy and doing fine, then the sick among us and then Convid-19 folks that are in the ICU’s fighting for their life. I listened to an interview with a man recovering in ICU that was able to talk after his massive struggle. It was horrible to listen to it but it helped me to realize how bad it can be and learning things that I didn't know before.

I pray for our situation here in this wonderful part of our country. I pray that we will obey the rules that have be given us so our suffering and the suffering of our loved ones wont happen. I know the numbers are going to get higher the more testing is done but I walk with my God sick or well.

I sip my coffee thankful I made it strong. Then I reach into my pocket and take out my phone that has many version of the Bible in one wonderful application that I have downloaded. I start to look up things and reading in this Wonder Book that God has given us.

Things like these:

Nehemiah 8:10 Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength. Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Exodus 15:2 The Lord is my strength and my song; he has given me victory.

God be with us as we take care of each other and out congregations together in love and caring because God through Jesus Christ and the filling of the Holy Spirit is within us always.
