GOD’S TIMING

1.GOD HAS A TIMETABLE FOR EVERYTHING

Ecclesiastes 3:1 - There is a season (an appointed time) for everything and a right time for every purpose under the heaven. Everything that happens, happens at the time God chooses! Gal. 4:4 – When the fulness of time had come, God sent forth His Son… Why did Jesus come when He did? Because everything happens on God’s timing.

2. GOD DOES NOT GIVE US THE DETAILS

Ecclesiastes 3:11 – God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end. People want to know the future… Tarot Cards, Palm reading, Crystal ball, Tea leafs, Astrology… God gives us the promise but does not give us the details. Why? Why don’t God tell us what is going to happen? It would scare you. You couldn’t handle the truth. You would abuse it. You would try to change it. God wants you to trust him. Acts 1:7 – Jesus told the disciples when they ask when will you restore the Kingdom? It is not for you to know the time. It is none of your business. Timing is God’s business.

3. GOD IS NEVER EARLY; HE IS NEVER LATE – HE IS ALWAYS ON TIME.

His timing is perfect. Time does not affect God. He is timeless. 2 Peter 3:8 - A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day.

When you were born God put a plan, a purpose, a vision in you. (Jer. 29:11)

Habbakkuk 2:3 – The vision is yet for an appointed time, though it tarry, wait for it, for it will surely come.

A difficult place to be is in the waiting room. GOD’S WAITING ROOM! When you are in a hurry and God isn’t that is God’s waiting room. What is the delay. Remember delay is not denial. Isaiah 49:8 – At the right time I will answer your prayer.

There is a big difference in No, and Not Yet. Immature child you say not yet and they pitch a fit they think it means no. They don’t understand delay is not denial.

Be careful in the waiting room. Delay can cause Anxiety, Frustration, Discouragement, Jealous, Pity party. Delays are by design. While your waiting God is working on you. God is getting you ready. I will give you your desires but not until you are ready.

FOUR THINGS YOU NEED TO DO WHILE YOU ARE WAITING:

FEAR NOT; FRET NOT; FORGET NOT; FAINT NOT.

FEAR NOT – TRUST GOD – FAITH DEFEATS FEAR.

Mark 5:36 – Jesus said, Fear not, Trust me. Fear not 365 times in the Bible.

Trust God is the number 1 stress reliever. The more you trust God the less stress. The less you trust God the more stress you have.

Ps. 31: 14-15 - But as for me, I trust in You, O LORD; I say, You are my God.

My times are in Your hand.

FRET NOT – DON’T WORRY

Ps. 37:1-2 – Fret not because of evil doers… for they shall wither like grass…

Get your eyes off of other people. Theirs will end… theirs is temporal… Yours is eternal. Phil. 4:6 – Don’t worry… Pray. Worry is a conversation you have with yourself about things you cannot change. Prayer is a conversation with God about things He can change. 1 Peter 5:6 - Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time.

FORGET NOT – REMEMBER GOD’S PROMISES

There are over 6000 promises in the Bible. Can you name a promise of God? If you can’t name it you can’t claim it.

FAINT NOT – DON’T QUIT – DON’T GIVE UP

Galatians 6:9 - And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

IT IS ALWAYS THE RIGHT TIME:

TO GIVE YOUR HEART TO JESUS AND BE SAVED – 2 Cor. 6:2 – Now is the day of salvation, behold now is the time.

TO COME BACK TO GOD – ACTS 3:19 - Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

God is not mad at you. He is mad about you. He loves you so much. He longs for you to come home and get back into His purpose and plans for your life.
