Summary: To encourage believers to stay and live on GOD's Promises because GOD fulfills His WORDS.

I. EXORDIUM:

When GOD says it, GOD fulfills it.

II. AUDIENCE PROFILE:

Believers/unbelievers

III. OBJECTIVES:

To encourage believers to stay and live on GOD's Promises because GOD fulfills His WORDS.

IV. TEXT:

2 Corinthians 1:20 For as many as are the promises of God, they all find their Yes [answer] in Him [Christ]. For this reason we also utter the Amen (so be it) to God through Him [in His Person and by His agency] to the glory of God.

V. THESIS:

Praise, worship, glorify, adore, bless, honor, acknowledge and thank You very much LORD JESUS for You fulfill all your Promises to us and they are YES and AMEN.

VI. TITLE:

GOD's Promises Never Fails

VII. EXPLICATION:

All bible quotations are taken from Amplified Bible, 1987 from Lockman Foundation.

VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. Purpose of GOD's Promises

2 Peter 1:4 By means of these He has bestowed on us His precious and exceedingly great promises, so that through them you may escape [by flight] from the moral decay (rottenness and corruption) that is in the world because of covetousness (lust and greed), and become sharers (partakers) of the divine nature.

1. Escape from the moral decay

this world is decaying because of covetousness or greed

1 John 2:15 Do not love {or} cherish the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in him.

1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world--the lust of the flesh [craving for sensual gratification] and the lust of the eyes [greedy longings of the mind] and the pride of life [assurance in one's own resources or in the stability of earthly things]--these do not come from the Father but are from the world [itself].

Promises came from Greek: EPAGGELMA - meaning A self committal - by assurance of conferring some good. The Person of the LORD JESUS CHRIST is at stake here.

When JESUS CHRIST utters a promise, He fulfills it.

Love GOD'S WORDS, Love GOD'S Promises instead

2. To become like GOD - sharers of GOD's Divine nature like holiness, righteousness, all the fruits of the HOLY SPIRT

Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes] is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness,

Galatians 5:23 Gentleness (meekness, humility), self-control (self-restraint, continence). Against such things there is no law [that can bring a charge].

1 John 4:17 In this [union and communion with Him] love is brought to completion {and} attains perfection with us, that we may have confidence for the day of judgment [with assurance and boldness to face Him], because as He is, so are we in this world.

B. All the answer to GOD's Promises are Yes or AMEN!

1. GOD's Promises are based in the Person of the LORD JESUS CHRIST which is unchangeable.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ (the Messiah) is [always] the same, yesterday, today, [yes] and forever (to the ages).

Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that He should tell {or} act a lie, neither the son of man, that He should feel repentance {or} compunction [for what He has promised]. Has He said and shall He not do it? Or has He spoken and shall He not make it good?

When GOD is not able to fulfill what He Promised then He's a mere man.

C. Some Promises about GOD'S Promises

1. Jeremiah 1:12 Then said the Lord to me, You have seen well, for I am alert {and} active, watching over My word to perform it.

GOD is the Performer of His WORDS, we are the receivers of His Promises's benefits.

2. Ezekiel 12:25 For I am the Lord; I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall be performed (come to pass); it shall be no more delayed {or} prolonged, for in your days, O rebellious house, I will speak the word and will perform it, says the Lord God.

3. Joshua 21:45 There failed no part of any good thing which the Lord had promised to the house of Israel; all came to pass.

D. Some Favorite Promises

Isaiah 40:29 He gives power to the faint {and} weary, and to him who has no might He increases strength [causing it to multiply and making it to abound].

Isaiah 40:31 But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change {and} renew their strength {and} power; they shall lift their wings {and} mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint {or} become tired.

IX. CONCLUSION:

JESUS fulfills ALL of His Promises.

Instruction: Let ALL accept GOD to be able to claim GOD'S Promises
