God's Desire For Mankind

Summary: God does not want anyone to perish but desires that everyone repents and attain salvation. He has done, is doing and will do everything to save mankind from sin. The choice, however, rest with man; either to accept or reject God's plan of salvation.
TEXT: 2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
A BURNING DESIRE
God's desire is for man to be saved. He does not want any human soul to perish in hellfire. He sent his only begotten Son to deliver man from the bondage of sin (John 3:16). God loves us so much, He pleads with us to repent and come to him: "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool" (Isa 1:18). Sin is the main problem between God and man. He has provided a lasting solution to the problem of sin and eternal damnation - Jesus Christ. Have you accepted Jesus into you life?
IT IS YOUR CHOICE
God is ready to save everyone. His desires is for us to be with him in heaven. He says: "Today, I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!" The decision is yours to make. Joshua made the right decision and God used him to deliver the promise land to the children of Israel. He declared boldly: "...for me and my house, we will serve the Lord" (Josh 24:15). It is a very simple decision to make. You only need to make up your mind. It is your choice. What is your decision?
A GOOD PLAN
God's plan for your life is good according to Jer 29:11, "I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." For that good future to come to reality, God requires that you serve him: "...what does the LORD your God require of you? He requires only that you fear the LORD your God, and live in a way that pleases him, and love him and serve him with all your heart and soul." God desires that his children prosper in every area of endeavour (3 John v 2). He gives his people power to make wealth and delights in their prosperity (Ps 35:27). The plan of God for your life will not be truncated. The Lord will lift you up and cause you to prosper in every are of life in Jesus name.
God's desire is for you to be with him forever in heaven(John 14:6). He has given believers the gift of the Holy Ghost to help us live a righteous life. The Holy Spirit is in you, producing fruits that will bring glory to God and plant you in heaven. It is God's ultimate desire that you be with him in heaven. The grace you need to do God's will, He will release to you in Jesus name.
PRAYER:
Father, grant me the grace to serve you with all my heart in Jesus name.
