Summary: We as Christians are ordained unto the work of the Lord. And there is never a time to retire from His service.

Quotes:

You must be the change you wish to see in the world.

Energy flows where attention goes.

When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

Find yourself within you, never in someone else.

Act the way you want to be and you will be the way you act.

Look for what you want-not for what you don’t want.

If you want others to believe in you-believe in yourself.

Be kind-everyone is in some type of battle.

If not you, who? If not now, when?

Galatians 6:9-10 (9)

People are unreasonable, illogical and self-centered.

Love them anyway.

If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.

Do good anyway.

If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies.

Succeed anyway.

Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.

Be honest and frank anyway.

The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.

Do good anyway.

The biggest people with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest people with the smallest pride.

Think big anyway.

People favor underdogs but follow only top dogs.

Fight for some underdogs anyway.

What you spent years building may be destroyed overnight.

Build anyway.

Give the world the best you have and you'll get kicked in the teeth.

Give the world the best you've got anyway!

Matthew 5:16 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

Story: From the book, The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom the story is told of Corrie and her family and how they lived during the World War Two. The Hiding Place was the place was accessed through Corrie’s bedroom and was used to hide Jews. Corrie’s mother Mrs. Ten Boom was always baking cakes for people on their anniversaries and birthdays and other special days. Mrs. Ten Boom had a stroke leaving here bedridden and unable to talk or write. Corrie fed and took care of her mother. They worked out a system by which Corrie’s mother would blink her eyes; one blink for yes and two for no. Then one day her mother became very agitated and Corrie could not understand why. She asked her, “Are you too hot?” “No”; “Are you hungry?” “No”; “Are you thirsty?” “No”. Corrie finally figured out that the agitation was to do with someone else. Corrie asked her mother to blink the number of times for the first letter of the person in questions first name, then the second letter and so on, until Corrie got the right first name and the right. Then they did the last name. It turns out that it was this persons birthday and Mrs. Boom had always baked her a cake. So Corrie went downstairs, baked the cake and took it to the person. This continued until the time of Mrs Ten Boom’s death. Her life had changed dramatically, but she was still serving God and others.

Ephesians 2:10 “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”

In June of 1955, Sir Winston Churchill, who was the near the end of his life, was asked to give a commencement address at a British university. At this time he was physically infirmed; he even had to be helped to the podium. Then he held on to the podium for some time. He stood with his head bowed down then finally he looked up. Then with the aged voice that years earlier had called Britain back from the brink of destruction re-sounded publicly for the last time in history with these words: "Never give up. Never give up. Never give up."

With that, Churchill turned and went back to his seat. Churchill was a man who never gave up.

"Never give up. Never give up. Never give up." This is excellent advice for soldiers, students, for parents, children and for married couples. It is sound advice for all! - "Never give up. Never give up. Never give up."
