Summary: TO SAVE AND WIN A SOUL IS THE GREATEST GIFT WE CAN GIVE TO GOD

GO A FISHING

MAIN TEXT: MATTHEW 4:19-20

“And He said unto them, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. And they straightway left their nets and followed Him”.

MARK 16:15

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Today there is a call to go into the world and preach the gospel to every creature. The call to go fishing is a call to witness and preach the gospel. It is a call to evangelism. But ye shall receive power; Jesus told us after that the Holy Ghost is come upon us and we shall be witnesses unto Him both in our immediate environment Jerusalem and outside our environment (in all Judah, and in Samaria and onto the uttermost part of the earth. There is no limitation. Our world is an ocean full of men who wallow in sin, that need to be fished out by preaching, witnessing the love of Christ Jesus to them and bringing them to Christ. There are men out there looking and waiting for your hook to catch them. Go out this morning. You have been chosen and ordained that you should go and bring forth fruit and that your fruit should remain; that whatsoever you shall ask in Jesus name as you go a fishing today, God will give it to you.

The command ‘Go ye’ is not for pastors but to every child of God. It is a duty assigned to us divinely. We should take it very serious because God takes it very serious. Words are seed we sow in other peoples’ lives, we should learn always to release them upon our unbeliever friends from time to time. Words of salvation perhaps, your own testimony of repentance, you may not know, God can work at anytime to touch somebody’s heart to repent, don’t hide your story, share it with others, and they may have been waiting to hear from you. Your salvation testimony is an effective tool to win someone to Christ. Use it.

HE THAT WINS A SOUL IS WISE
