Glimpses of God’s Glory
Rom. 3:23 Col.1:27 1 Cor. 2:9 Rom. 8:18
Glory—Speaks of God’s beauty, power, greatness majesty, and authority.
In the Bible we are given glimpses of God’s glory.
I Moses caught glimpses of God’s glory.
Ex. 28-35
1 Spending time in the presence of God caused his face to shine. Oh that we would let our light shine.
Matt. 5:14-16
2 God permitted Moses to see His back parts.
Ex. 33:18-23
II Solomon caught a glimpse of God’s glory.
II Chron. 7:1-3
1 Fire came down from Heaven.
2 The glory of God filled the house.
3 The priest could not enter the temple.
4 Israel worshiped with their faces to the ground.
5 Israel cried saying; God is good, his mercy endureth forever.
Oh that we, the temples of God, were filled with the presence of His glory for a lost world to see.
1 Cor. 6:19-20 1 Cor. 3:16-17
III Isaiah caught a glimpse of God’s glory.
Isa 6:1-5
1 He saw the Lord sitting upon a throne.
2 He heard a Seraphim cry: Holy, Holy, Holy.
3 The whole earth is full of God’s glory.
4 He saw himself undone and unclean.
Isa 64:6
IV Paul got a glimpse of God’s glory.
II Cor. 12:1-10
1 When he was caught up into the Third Heaven.
2 This experience was mare than his finite mind could comprehend.
3 He heard unspeakable words. 1Cor 2:9
4 He saw unexplainable sights. 1 Cor 2:9
5 His heart had unimaginable feelings 1 Cor 2:9
V Peter, James and John got a glimpse of God’s Glory.
Luke 9:29-36
1 Jesus’ face did shine as the Light.
2 Jesus’ raiment did shine as the Light.
3 Moses and Elijah appeared unto them.
4 God spoke to them out of a bright cloud.
VI The disciples got a glimpse of God’s glory.
1 When He walked upon the waters.
2 When He stilled the wind and the waves.
3 When He raised Lazarus from the dead.
4 When He appeared in His resurrection form.
VII Present day saints have caught a glimpse of His glory.
Eph 5:8
1 Oh that the world might get a glimpse of Gods glory in our faces.
2 Oh that the world might get a glimpse of Gods glory in our behavior.
3 Oh that the world might get a glimpse of Gods glory in our love for one another. John 13:35
Oh that the world might get a glimpse of God’s glory by our calmness in the hours of uncertainty!!
