Summary: Funeral for an Christian lady.

Funeral Glenna Clark

1. In behalf of the family, we want to thank everyone who is here. Your presence is honoring to Glenna and is a comfort and strength to the family. When we here the words such and such has died or passed I would like to say this that such and such will now live for eternity

• In Psalm 116:15 we find this comforting statement: “Precious in the sight of the Lord Is the death of His saints.”

• Something Precious Happened July 27 for God’s servant, Glenna Clark she went to be with the Lord. “Precious in the sight of the Lord Is the death of His Saints.”

2. When I think of Glenna a scripture come to my mind in

Revelation 14:13. It The Apostle John is writing this, and he says, “Then I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, ‘Write: 'Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’”

• Glenna is one who died “in the Lord,” and her death is precious to God because she now is with Him in a way that surpasses anything we experience in this life. That’s why it say Blessed are the dead” Happy

• The scripture continues to say (They rest) , , “‘Yes,’ says the Spirit, ‘that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them.’”

3. Glenna has gone to a land of No More

• No more suffering for Glenna

• No more tears. No more wondering about stuff like Heaven seeing JD

• No more restrictions in a worn-out mortal body.

• She now lays her works at the Master’s feet and enjoys His welcome home. I direct your thought to the glory she is experiencing right now in heaven.

• This poem by Myrtle Erickson puts it well. It’s entitled “The Homeland.”

“THINK –

Of stepping on the shore and finding it Heaven;

Of taking hold of a hand and finding it God’s hand;

Of breathing a new air and finding it celestial air;

Of feeling invigorated and finding it immortality;

Of passing from storm and tempest to an unbroken calm;

Of looking up—and finding it HOME.”

4. Glenna lived the Christian life as a real example

Micah 6:8: “He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?”

• I think Glenna lived that out. She didn’t just talk about it; she lived it!

• They say Still waters run deep, and there was a depth in her faith that few Christians reach.

5. Glenna loved her church

• Glenna attended Church faithfully until she was unable to come

• Glenna, during Covid pandemic came church to give her church a check she said it just feels good to be in church.

• She got to the point she couldn’t drive and yet every month I got a call to come get her check for church

6. What is it that Glenna leaves us?

• I don’t know if Glenna left money to her church or not

• But I know She left something far, far more valuable.

• She left a legacy to be followed. Paul reminded Timothy to stir up the gift of God in him for service to the Lord. In that exhortation he reminded Timothy of “the genuine faith” that was in him.

• Paul celebrated seeing that in this young man of God. But he also talked about how Timothy came into that Faith through the influence of his mother and grandmother. Paul said that genuine faith “dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded is in you also.

• I have greater faith because of Glenna I am sure family members have greater faith to

• Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you . . .” (2 Tim.1:5-7).

• I encourage each of Glenna family her church and Glenna’s friends to Honor Glenna by following her life of faith.

• Let’s follow Christ with all our heart. You will never, never regret it.

• I was blessed with the legacy of my mother and grandmother. They were much like Glenna : a prayer warrior who prayed continually for her family.

7. We may or not follow Glenna legacy as a precious saint

• But, Each one of us must make an individual choice about Christ.

• Remember to have a godly woman in the family heritage is a gift from God of great price.

• Remember, God has given us a precious jewel, gift, treasure In Glenna Clark and now we must giver her back to God and we should tell God thank you for this jewel treasure gift.
