Summary: Encourage message on giving Praise where it is needed.

Transition:

Not only should we praise Him for the Security of the rock that we are on or can

be on that will not weaver or break. Now that we are standing or can be standing

on that solid rock Christ Jesus we need to be superintended. So, now we need to

praise Him for His Superintendence.

III.Praise Him for His Superintendence. “He established my goings” (v. 2c)

Superintendence means guidance. God is our guide along life’s path to heaven. All we have to do is just let Him lead us along the way. He will never lead in a wrong direction.

ILLUSTRATION:

Because the way was steep and long,

and through a strange and lonely land,

God placed upon my lips a song

And put a lantern in my hand.

-- Joyce Kilmer, quoted by W. Frank Harrington, "The Love That Brought Him," Preaching Today, Tape No. 51.

A. The saints should praise God for that they superintendence for the future of their lives. As long as they follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ they will never end up in that horrible pit that they were delivered from.

B. The sinners should praise God that they have superintendence for their future if they let God lead them. They do not have to continue to sink in that mucky, miry clay of sin.

Transition:

This late point is the final stage for when the saved soul is trusting in God so entirely that it will no more seek for its own way but leave all toe future in God’s hands.

Conclusion:

The whole thrust of this message is to show us that we need to praise God for our deliverance. If He is not your deliver I am happy to let you know that He can be our own personal deliver.
