Summary: This is an outline using an accrostic of the word "Thanks" to describe some things we should all be thankful for.

"T" We should give thanks for "Today"

Psalm 118:24 says, “This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”

"T" We should Give Thanks because our "Transgressions have been forgiven.

Psalm 103:12 says, “as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.”

We should give thanks because for the "Trials" we face.

James 1:2 says, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds,because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”

"H."

Next we should give thanks for our "Health"

We should give thanks for our "Homes"

We should give thanks for the "Hope" we have in Christ

"A" We should give thanks that we have an "Awesome God"

Rich Mullins wrote a song several years ago entitled "Awesome God." The chorus goes like this:

“Our God is An Awesome God He reins from Heaven above, with wisdom, power and love, our God is an awesome God.”

We should give thanks for the "Atonement" of Christ

Romans 3:25 says, “God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood.”

"N"

We should give thanks for our "Nation"

Psalm 33:12 says, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD,”

We should give thanks for the "New Covenant"

Luke 22:20 says, “In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.”

We should give thanks for the fact that we are "New Creations" in Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!”

"K"

We should give thanks for the "Kindness of others"

We should give thanks for the "Kingdom of God"

Luke 17:20- says, “Once, having been asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, "The kingdom of God does not come with your careful observation,“nor will people say, `Here it is,’ or `There it is,’ because the kingdom of God is within you."

We should be thankful that Jesus is the "KING of Kings."

At some point in the future Jesus will establish His Earthly Kingdom and Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that He is Lord!

"S"

"Salvation"

Jonah 2:9 says, “But I, with a song of thanksgiving, will sacrifice to you. What I have vowed I will make good. Salvation comes from the LORD."

Acts 4:12 says, “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."

T- ( Today, Transgressions, Trials)

H – ( Health, Homes, Hope)

A – (Awesome God, Atonement)

N – (Nation, New Covenant, New Creation)

K – ( Kindness, Kingdom, King of Kings)

S - (Salvation)

Excellent resource. I adapted it somewhat from Matthew''s original but enjoyed working with it.
