Gifts

Christmas gifts are not valuable unless they are opened and used.

Do you have that one person whose house you go to after Christmas and there are still presents under their tree either people didn’t come get them or they forgot them while they were there?

Some gifts are never used some are taken back some get broken some get spent, torn, don’t fit don’t work but some are really good gifts

James 1: 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

Matt7: 11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

Luke 11:13

God knows what we need so we will not have to take it back for a different size sometimes it may not always be what we want like when you get underwear you may not want to get that for Christmas but you shore do need it

These gifts are free but we have to receive them and use them

1. Salvation (God’s gift of eternal love)

2. Baptism in holy spirit (God’s gift of power)

3. Gifts of holy spirit (gifts to benefit the body of believers)

You have been given the gift of salvation and you need to share it with every one you know

We put a lot of emphasis on speaking in tongues in the A/G but the main reason for speaking in tongues is to build up the believer’s faith to use other gifts of the spirit

Many times we want to give the gifts to some one else because we don’t want it we think the preacher should be the one who uses all the gifts not us like a kid who wanted the red ranger but got the pink ranger instead of playing with the pink ranger and beating lord zed with her the kid take the ranger back and trades it for the red ranger. God has a no return policy

Romans 11:29 God doesn’t take back the gifts he has given or forget about the people he has chosen.

Maybe some of you didn’t get a lot for Christmas or you didn’t get what you want God has the perfect gift for you even if you feel like you don’t deserve the gift or if people don’t give you good gifts Gods gifts are designed especially for you. Just like a car from pimp my ride that has been recreated with the owner in mind

Just like you asked for your gifts or used to when you were younger God likes you to communicate with him and ask him for Gifts such as salvation baptism in the Holy Spirit and gifts of the spirit such as prophesy, healing, miracles, word of wisdom
