Summary: Just as surely as there are grasshoppers in the earth there are giants. The question is which one are you?

Gen 6:4 There were giants in the earth in those days
Num 13:32 All the men we saw in it are men of great stature.
What is a giant? A very large person; impressive in size or qualities, Someone who is abnormally large
Any creature of exceptional size. ( Someone bigger than what is considered normal)
Surely You’ve heard the phrase (A Giant among men)
Or he is larger than life.
A giant doesn’t have:
Extra hands, or extra feet, or extra eyes, or extra legs, or mouths, or stomachs, or heads,
A giant does have:
Bigger hands, legs, feet, mouths, heads, eyes, and stomachs.
In the natural a person most likely doesn’t have any choice concerning whether they are bigger than what is considered normal or not, but in the spiritual we must choose to be bigger, You must decide and determine that you are not going to be satisfied to be satisfied, You must refuse to blend in to fit in.
You must choose the large life (Jesus called it the abundant life) Large life is for large people.
Small people can’t handle large life:
Small people refuse to be stretched, they fight and they resist any knowledge that facilitates change.
Small people have small heads: Their thinking is limited, and confined, it stays on a purely natural plain, there is no room for the miraculous, or the supernatural power of God in the heads of small people.
small hands: They can’t handle very much, they can’t handle much of the word, they can’t handle much responsibility, they never reach for anything big because they know they couldn’t hold on to it if they got it.
Small eyes: Can’t see themselves ever accomplishing anything great, and can’t see anyone else do it either, people with small eyes criticize people with big eyes, if someone else breaks out and does something great then people with small eyes criticize them and say they must be compromising, and lowering their standards.
Small mouths: Just like the children of Israel couldn’t get their mouths around the grapes, small mouthed people can’t get their mouths around the promises of God, they are too big, too grand, too glorious.
Small mouthed people just can’t seem to get their mouths to speak the word, they always fall back to what they see, or feel, or hear in the natural.
Judges 12: 5 -6 And the Gileadites took the passages of Jordan before the Ephraimites: and it was so, that when those Ephraimites which were escaped said, Let me go over; that the men of Gilead said unto him, Art thou an Ephraimite? If he said, Nay;
6 Then said they unto him, Say now Shibboleth: and he said Sibboleth: for he could not frame to pronounce it right. Then they took him, and slew him at the passages of Jordan: and there fell at that time of the Ephraimites forty and two thousand.
Forty two thousand of the children of God died because they couldn’t get the ir mouths to speak the word of life: ( The word that their lives depended on) They heard it spoken, but they just couldn’t get their mouths to frame it.
(Why) They had a mouth just like the gileadites, and a tongue and teeth ( What was the difference?)
Training – The gileadites had trained their mouths to speak the word, they had forced their tongues into submission, until it was natural to them.
Small mouthed people are those who always speak what comes easiest, they won’t put any pressure on their tongues, they won’t discipline their tongues.
Small mouthed people Belittle everything,
Nice car: What this old wreck, well at least it gets me where I’m going.
Nice blouse: This old thing, I picked it up at the bargain basement,
Your looking well: Yeah but looks are decieving
You have a beautiful home: Well it’s not bad for an old shack, at least it keeps us dry when it’s raining.
It looks like God is really blessing you: Yeah but I’m just keeping my fingers crossed, you know how that old devil is, one day your up and the other Kaboom, your flat on the ground.
Small Stomachs:
Digestion problems, They won’t eat the meat of the word, because it requires too much effort, because it, requires chewing, meditation, study, then obedience.
Small feet:
Never step out for God, always stay where it’s safe and familiar, (small steps = fearful, doubtful, timid).
Small Legs: Unstable, undependable, Poor spiritual structure, no strength of character, can’t carry any weight,
The children of Israel defined these small living people as grasshoppers
Num 13:32 –33 and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.
33And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.
