Summary: The obedience that the Lord required from Abraham was nothing compared to the blessing that the Lord promised. Today also my dear young friend, God is asking you to Obey His voice and receive immeasurable blessings. The Bible says "Obedience is better than sacrifice".

"Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:

2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed". Genesis 12:1-3

In the above passage, you will notice that God spoke to Abraham and asked Him to GET OUT.

a) From his country

b) From his relatives

c) From his father's house

Now, look at the seven-fold promises that God made to Abraham:

1) I will make you a great nation.

2) I will bless you.

3) I will make your name great.

4) You will be a blessing.

5) I will bless them that you bless.

6) I will curse them that curse you.

7) In you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.

The obedience that the Lord required from Abraham was nothing compared to the blessing that the Lord promised. Today also my dear young friend, God is asking you to Obey His voice and receive immeasurable blessings. The Bible says "Obedience is better than sacrifice". Remember Obedience always brings blessings.

Now what is God asking you to get out of? Maybe from your sinful habit or wrong circle of friends or uncleanness, disobedience, etc.. Your breakthrough depends on your obedience. As you obey God and walk out of your bondage, God will lead you to your destiny. If you feel you are helpless to break yourself free, then cry out to God and the testimony of David will be yours. "This poor man cried and the Lord heard him and delivered him out of all his fears". If you call upon Him, He will surely set you free. "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble" Psalm 46:1.

The Holy Spirit will help you to walk in freedom, if you trust Him. As you read further in Genesis 12 you will notice that when Abraham came out and reached the place where God asked Him to go to, the Bible says "And the Lord appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto the Lord, who appeared unto him" Gen 12:7. Remember obedience will not only bring blessing into your life but also God's visitation.

So obey God as He is speaking to you right now.

God Bless you!!!
