Summary: IT takes FAITH to step out upon the water. But before you can have a “walking on water experience: YOU HAVE TO GET OUT OF THE BOAT!!!!

Get out of the boat Matt. 14:28-29

28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.

29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.

What a wonderful experience for Peter.

This was clearly supernatural.

Every step was a miracle

Here was a man by the power of God walking on the seas of Galilee.

The disciples had spent the night on the lake, and when morning came, they saw a form coming toward them.

Some thought it was a ghost, but Jesus cried, “It is I.”

As soon as Peter saw it was the Lord, he cried,

Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.

And Jesus said, “COME” and Peter CAME

IT takes FAITH to step out upon the water.

But before you can have a “walking on water experience: YOU HAVE TO GET OUT OF THE BOAT!!!!

You’ve been wanting to step out of the boat.

You’ve been desiring for God’s touch

You’ve been hearing about it.

You’ve been seeing it on others…

But something seems to hold you down.

3 Things that hold us in the boat

1.Security

Don’t want to take a chance

Been this way for years

2.Contentment

Not so bad where I’m at

Getting along ok.

3.Doubt

Just don’t know if God would do for me what he did for Peter.

Not good enough

Not holy enough

Not righteous enough

Don’t allow anything to hold you back from pleasing God in Faith.
