II. AUDIENCE PROFILE:

Believers

III. OBJECTIVES:

To show that we need to work in increasing our faith, the work is listening to GOD's WORDS and doing them everyday. It's a training exercise that will benefit us until eternity.

1 Timothy 4:8 (Amplified Bible)

4:8 For physical training is of some value (useful for a little), but godliness (spiritual training) is useful and of value in everything and in every way, for it holds promise for the present life and also for the life which is to come.

IV. TEXT:

Matthew 9:27-31 (Amplified Bible)

9:27 As Jesus passed on from there, two blind men followed Him, shouting loudly, Have pity and mercy on us, Son of David!

9:28 When He reached the house and went in, the blind men came to Him, and Jesus said to them, Do you believe that I am able to do this? They said to Him, Yes, Lord.

9:29 Then He touched their eyes, saying, According to your faith and trust and reliance [on the power invested in Me] be it done to you;

9:30 And their eyes were opened. And Jesus earnestly and sternly charged them, See that you let no one know about this.

9:31 But they went off and blazed and spread His fame abroad throughout that whole district.

V. THESIS:

Praise, worship and thank You very much LORD JESUS, for You have given us Your faith activated, energized, expressed, and working through love, and You have increased our faith by hearing and hearing Your WORDS.

Matthew 16:16-19 (The Message)

16:16 Simon Peter said, "You're the Christ, the Messiah, the Son of the living God."

16:17 Jesus came back, "God bless you, Simon, son of Jonah! You didn't get that answer out of books or from teachers. My Father in heaven, God himself, let you in on this secret of who I really am.

16:18 And now I'm going to tell you who you are, really are. You are Peter, a rock. This is the rock on which I will put together my church, a church so expansive with energy that not even the gates of hell will be able to keep it out.

16:19 "And that's not all. You will have complete and free access to God's kingdom, keys to open any and every door: no more barriers between heaven and earth, earth and heaven. A yes on earth is yes in heaven. A no on earth is no in heaven."

VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. Full of faith

"According to your faith and trust and reliance [on the power invested in Me] be it done to you; And their eyes were opened."

Proverbs 19:2 (Amplified Bible)

19:2 Desire without knowledge is not good, and to be overhasty is to sin and miss the mark.

Proverbs 19:2 (New International Version)

19:2 It is not good to have zeal without knowledge, nor to be hasty and miss the way.

Romans 10:17 (Amplified Bible)

10:17 So faith comes by hearing [what is told], and what is heard comes by the preaching [of the message that came from the lips] of Christ (the Messiah Himself).

There's no problem with being full of faith but with zeal without knowledge. That's why me and my family are gathering up seminars upon seminars regarding bible lessons, why are we doing that? Because we want to gain more knowledge as basis and foundation of our zeal of service for the LORD. Let your faith be based on the WORD of GOD and upon application of it in your life. Let all our faith be based on the WORD, let all our zeal be motivated by love and knowledge of the LORD and His WORD.

wise man vs foolish man

Matthew 7:24-27 (Amplified Bible)

7:24 So everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts upon them [obeying them] will be like a sensible (prudent, practical, wise) man who built his house upon the rock.

7:25 And the rain fell and the floods came and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.

7:26 And everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not do them will be like a stupid (foolish) man who built his house upon the sand.

7:27 And the rain fell and the floods came and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell—and great and complete was the fall of it.
