FRUIT OF REPENTANCE

MAIN TEXT: LUKE 3:8

“Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance and begin not to say within yourselves, we have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham”.

GALATIANS 5:8

For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

Generally speaking, repentance means a change of mind or a feeling of remorse or regret for past conduct. This is godly sorrow for sin and act of turning around and going in opposite direction. It also involves a confession of past sins and decision not to go back to them. By repentance this means our turning away from sin, disobedience, or rebellion and turning back to God.

Have you repented? If yes, have you totally turned back? Repentance is turning from wickedness and dead works. The fruits of repentance include prayerfulness. Men ought to pray and not to faint. A repented soul prays always in season and out of season.

Honest dealings with others whether they are Christians or not. You no longer have to cheat or deceive others. Other fruits of repentance include righteousness, joy, peace as the spirit of God comes upon you with the following manifesting: gentleness, goodness.

You cannot claim to have repented without manifesting meekness and mortifying the flesh. Do you tell the truth or do you still tell some business lies. Work in love today; decide to show forth the fruit to impact your world. By your fruit, people will know you have repented.

THERE IS NO GOOD FRUIT WITHOUT REPENTANCE.
