It's Timing - 3 And as he journeyed,

It's Test - he came near Damascus: and

It's Terror - suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven

It's Turmoil - 4 And he fell to the earth,

It's Truth - and heard a voice saying unto him,

It's Tragedy - Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?

His Favour -

The Company - 7 and the men which journeyed with him

Their Confusion - stood speechless,

Their Conviction - hearing a voice,

Their Condemnation - but seeing no man.

1 So near to the kingdom of heaven, But yet outside the gate!

Some day you plan to enter— “Some day” may be too late!

Refrain:

So near to the kingdom, why hesitate?

So near to the kingdom, why longer wait?

Oh, enter before ’tis forever too late!

So near to the kingdom, so near!

2 So near to the kingdom of heaven! Almost persuaded now

To trust the blessed Saviour, Before His scepter bow.

3 So near to the kingdom of heaven! Your friends are ent’ring in

To find the great salvation, That cleanseth from all sin.

4 So near to the kingdom of heaven, Yet halting at the door!

Oh, shall your soul, thro’ doubting, Be lost forevermore?

Saul's Hope

His Resurrection - 8 And Saul arose from the earth;

His Restriction - and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man:

His Resignation - but they led him by the hand,

His Revision - and brought him into Damascus.

His Revelation - 9 And he was three days without sight,

He saw more in these three days, than in his whole life before.

His Reflection - and neither did eat nor drink.
