Summary: The contrast between the 2 Gardens: One was a place of problems, and the other a place of prayer.

Eden First Garden Adam and Eve took a stance, but it was a stance of their will, one of Ducking, hiding from GOD; Dodging from the truth; and diverting the blame. In Eden, Adam and Eve hid from GOD when HE called to them. In today’s times we call this passing the buck.

At this point in the first garden, was THE BEGINNING: The Beginning of DECEPTION; The Beginning of DISOBIDIENCE; The Beginning of PUNISHMENT but most of all it was The Beginning of MERCY because GOD showed mercy when he slew the animal and covered them with the skin.

Gethsemane The Second Garden the Garden of Gethsemane is the site for three important events in the life of Christ, - His agony over facing the cross.

- his betrayal at the hands of Judas Iscariot; - and his arrest by the Jewish mob. In Gethsemane, JESUS sought GOD, as HE left the disciples and prayed. HE was Praying, Positioning, and Preparing HIMSELF for what was to come, JESUS made HIMSELF available to GOD Moreover, JESUS took a stance to set HIS will (THY WILL) and feelings aside out of obedience to GOD. The Beginning of HOPE

You see God Had a Plan Before Creation, 1. The plan has always been Jesus Christ. 2. The plan of God is not an afterthought. There has never been any other plan. Did it ever occur to you that nothing ever occurred to God? 3. The plan is not an act of desperation. God has never lost control of the universe – nor the destiny of mankind. God has never been nervous or desperate. He has had this same plan for man’s redemption for all eternity pasts. He has always had a Savior for man.

Before there was a sin – there was a Savior. There has always been a cross in God’s plan. There has always been a Sacrificial Lamb of God that took away the sin of the world. The plan of redemption is not something that God had to come up with after Adam sinned. Adam’s sin just put the wheels into motion, but the wheels were already there in the form of the free will of man. I’m about to close, but I want you to see the comparison and the contrast of the Gardens: In Eden, the devil deceived Adam and Eve put into motion the beginning of spiritual death; But in Gethsemane, our LORD JESUS begin the road to New and Eternal Life. These 2 gardens are a symbol and reflection of Choices for each of us to reflect on. Which will you choose, Life or Death? Are you living like Adam and Eve, believing the lies of the enemy, or are you living like Jesus in Gethsemane, sacrificially: living and giving; through obedience? Let us be CHRIST like,
