Fresh Anointing
Can you hear me now?
Can You hear me now?
Can you hear me now?
Can you hear Him now?
Can you hear Him now?
Jesus said, "My sheep listen to my voice: I know them, and they follow me." John 10:27
He was talking to the disciples because they could be disoriented to His voice.
Like us.
Life can be so overwhelming with our jobs, our families, our bills, our worries, our lack of rest,
and our lack of being fed enough
Turn with me to the book of Judges 15:18-19
In a believer’s lifetime there will be times where struggles will come between whether or not God is with you or not.
If you were honest with yourself, you will come to the realization that yes there has been times when;
I questioned my walk with God. I have done that. Have you?
As I shared last week sometimes we are not sure if God is really talking to us.
We need direction and two different things keep appearing.
They both seem okay. You sit there and think about it and do not see which is the right one.
God tells you to trust in Him and take steps forward, but
What if I'm wrong?
What will happen with each thing I try?
What if I do wrong?
You will be blessed.
Sometimes, God allows us to do something wrong so we will learn for the future.
Do you hear me?
Even John the Baptist the forerunner of the son of God wondered whether or not God is with him. He sent word back to Jesus asking if he is the one or shall he look for another.
Yes in our darkest hours, and in our weakest moments, the enemy comes in to devour our faith, steal our strength, and destroy us.
But the truth is in this noon day hour in our darkest hour, in our weakest moments.
There is a fresh anointing.
Amen?
Watch the text. Here we have our fearless warrior, Samson. The bible called him a Nazarite meaning one especially consecrated by God. Yes he was set aside, set apart.
He was irrevocably set apart dedicated to God.
Anointing to do his will. Samson had what was known as a revelation on faith. Yes he had been tested and tried and been through it all. But now he was delivered into the hands of the Philistines.
(Ellaborate on the story of Samson and the riddle to the Philistines.)
Now here was Samson, who had been delivered out of the hands of the Philistines.
Had Slain a thousand man with the jawbone of a donkey.
Here he was a Nazarite, especially consecrated by God, set aside and set apart to do God’s will to deliver Israel out of the hands of the Philistines.
In a dark place in his weakest hour wondering will God will deliver him.
I telling today that you that yes you, in your darkest moments in your weakest hours that he will deliver.
The bible said that God split the hollow place that is in Lehi and water came out.
It is all in your attitude about life;
THE SCULPTOR'S ATTITUDE
I woke up early today, excited over all I get to do before the clock strikes midnight. I have responsibilities to fulfill today. I am important. My job is to choose what kind of day I am going to have.
Today I can complain because the weather is rainy or... I can be thankful that the grass is getting watered for free.
Today I can feel sad that I don't have more money or... I can be glad that my finances encourage me to plan my purchases wisely and guide me away from waste.
Today I can grumble about my health or... I can rejoice that I am alive.
Today I can lament over all that my parents didn't give me when I was growing up or... I can feel grateful that they allowed me to be born.
Today I can cry because roses have thorns or... I can celebrate that thorns have roses.
Today I can mourn my lack of friends or... I can excitedly embark upon a quest to discover new relationships.
Today I can whine because I have to go to work or... I can shout for joy because I have a job to do.
Today I can complain because I have to go to school or... eagerly open my mind and fill it with rich new tidbits of knowledge.
Today I can murmur dejectedly because I have to do housework or... I can feel honored because the Lord has provided shelter for my mind, body and soul.
Today stretches ahead of me, waiting to be shaped. And here I am, the sculptor who gets to do the shaping.
