Freedom Is In The Son And From The Son Series

John 8:34-36King James Version (KJV)

34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.

35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.

36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Beloved the Apostle Paul stated in 1 Corinthians 6:12 that, he wil not allow anything in his life to control him though he can do anything because all things are lawful unto him.

Beloved anything you allow to control you is your master and you become a slave to it.

That is what Jesus sought to teach the Jews and is teaching us this morning too.

If you allow your sin nature to control you or rule you, you become a slave to sin. Your sin nature is that power you were under when you didn't know Jesus and had not accepted Him as your Lord and personal Saviour.

When you get to know Jesus and accept Him, He breaks that power which is over you and sets you free. When Jesus sets you free beloved, you are free indeed and He gives you new power that transcends all things and is the greatest power in the whole universe and beyond, through places and other creations we don't know of. This power is PRECIOUS HOLY SPIRIT.

Beloved when Jesus becomes your Master or the one who rules you, He doesn't see you as a servant or treat you as such but recognises and gives you respect as a son of God, as His junior brother, the second born of creation.

Beloved the only freedom that is freedom without strings attached is the freedom in Jesus. Let the Son set you free and be free indeed.

And we need to know that, when Jesus sets us free and we are in Him, we also become sons and therefore we will abide in the house of the Lord forever.

But if you stay as a slave to your sin nature and don't turn to Jesus, that sin nature which is controlled by a false power will release you into eternal damnation. It will not keep you forever to protect you or anything.

Beloved our sin nature if it is at play in us, does not allow us to have a repentant heart to go to Jesus and say sorry to be cleansed and purged with His blood. Our sin nature makes us "ok" everything, whether good or bad, and forget about the amazing saving grace of Jesus.

Beloved, the world needs to hear this message of freedom to escape from the fowler's snare, so that the enemy does not use any of them as a prey for his teeth.

But how can they hear if there is no preacher to send the Word to them?

Beloved, you are that preacher Jesus needs to carry the message into the world. Your contribution towards evangelism is very key to the Kingdom of God.

The Lord is waiting, move out there and save souls that are perishing in the hands of sin and its cruel power by giving them Jesus and allowing Jesus to set them free forever.

Beloved go out there knowing that *IT'S ALL ABOUT JESUS* and you are going into the world with nothing other than Jesus for the world to be free from the bondage of sin.

Prayer: Father, please empower us and cause us to be encouraged to boldly take the Gospel of Jesus into the world. That we may also support the Ministry of Evangelism at all times with all we have. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
