Four Things God Cannot Do!

Summary: There are four things that God cannot do, and we need to know them.
Introduction
I would like to share with you this morning four things that God cannot do!
Matthew 19:26 says; "But Jesus looked at them and said: ’With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Matthew 19:26.
So does the statement I just made and the scripture text contradict each other?
No, for only God can limit or impose a restriction upon Himself.
And there are four things that God cannot do!
1. God Cannot Lie!
"In hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began." Titus 1:2.
Therefore, all that God has said in His word is true!
"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23.
"The wages of sin is death…" Romans 6:23
"The soul who sins will surely die." Ezekiel 18:20.
2. God Cannot Undo What Has Already Been Done!
If God allowed Himself to undo what has been done surely He would have undone Satan’s rebellion and Adam’s fall.
But, God gave to man a free will, therefore our actions carry a sense of finality.
"And the Lord God said to the woman, ’What is this that thou hast done?" Genesis 3:13.
• God cannot undo your sinful deeds…or else He would!
• God cannot unsay your sinful words…or else He would!
• God cannot unthink your sinful thoughts…or else He would!
Because:
"As I live! declares the Lord God, ’I take no pleasure in the death of the death of the wicked, but rather that the wicked should turn from his way and live." Ezekiel 33:11.
3. God Cannot Save Anyone Apart from Faith in
Christ.
"He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." John 3:18.
"Jesus said to him, ’I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." John 14:6.
"And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men, by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12.
4. God Cannot Save Anyone Against Their Will!
"You search the scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life." John 5:39-40.
"And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him who hears say, Come. And let him who is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the Water of Life freely." Revelation 22:17.
