Forgiveness In The Bible

Nehemiah 9:17 - "But You are a God of forgiveness, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness; And You did not forsake them.

THANK GOD HE HAS HELD BACK HIS ANGER ON THE USA AND THE WORLD. BUT FOR HOW LONG?

Psalms 130:4 - But there is forgiveness with You, That You may be feared.

WE NEED TO HAVE AWE AND RESPECT OF THE LORD. THERE IS FEAR DURING REVELATION TIMES.

Daniel 9:9 - "To the Lord our God belong compassion and forgiveness, for we have rebelled against Him;

THANK GOD THE LORD HAS GUT-WRENCHING CARE FOR US.

Matthew 26:28 - for this is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for forgiveness of sins.

THE LORD HAD KEPT HIS PROMISES TO US IN THE OLD AND NEW TESTAMENTS (THE OLD AND NEW COVENANTS) THAT HE WOULD FORGIVE US.

Mark 1:4 - John the Baptist appeared in the wilderness preaching a baptism of repentance (VS. FIRE, WHICH JESUS DID) for the forgiveness of sins.

JOHN WAS PROPHECIED IN IS 40: 3. HE WAS A PROPHET OF WHO THE SAVIOR / MESSIAH WOULD BE.

Mark 3:29 (LIKE MATT. 12) but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin"

THIS IS A HARD VERSE TO UNDERSTAND. BILLYGRAHAM.ORG STATES “THE ONLY SIN GOD CAN’T FORGIVE IS THE SIN OF REJECTING CHRIST.” IT COULD ALSO BE NOT GIVING HIM CREDIT FOR HEALING.

Luke 1:77 - To give to His people the knowledge of salvation by the forgiveness of their sins.

WE CAN ONLY KNOW HIM AS WAS INTENDED WHEN WE ASK FOR FORGIVENESS.

Luke 3:3 - And he came into all the district around the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins;

I HAVE VISTED WHERE HE WAS BAPTIZED.

Luke 24:47 - and that repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

THIS IS PROPHETIC OF WHAT WE ARE DOING.

Matthew 24: 14 "This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations (PEOPLE GROUPS/RACES), and then the end will come.

Acts 2:38 - Peter said to them, "Repent, and each of you be baptized in (EPI VS. ON) the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

IT IS IMPORTANT WE DO BOTH, BE BAPTIZED AND RECEIVE THE SPIRIT.

Acts 5:31 - "He is the one whom God exalted to His right hand as a Prince and a Savior, to grant repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. Romans 11:25 “Partial hardening has happened to Israel.”

WE NEED TO PRAY THE JEWS GET TO KNOW JESUS AS SAVIOR AND LORD.

Acts 10:43 - "Of Him all the prophets bear witness that through His name everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins." FROM OLD TESTAMENT TIMES WE KNEW HE WOULD.

Acts 13:38 - "Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through Him forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you,

SINCE WE HEARD, WE NEED TO PROCLAIM IT TO OTHERS.

Acts 26:18 - to open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the dominion of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who have been sanctified by faith in Me.'

IF WE DO NOT GET EVIL OUT OF OUR LIVES WE WILL CONTINUE TO HAVE PROBLEMS. JESUS SETS US FREE.

Ephesians 1:7 - In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace.

Colossians 1:14 - in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

THERE ARE SINS OF COMMISSION (THOSE WE KNOW OF) AND OMISSION (ONES WE DON’T REALIZE WE DO. REMEMBER THE 613 COMMANDMENTS (MIZVOT) IN THE OT.

Hebrews 9:22 - And according to the Law, one may almost say, all things are cleansed with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.

IN THE OLD TESTAMENT SINS WERE FORGIVEN BY ANIMAL SACRIFICES. JESUS WAS THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE FOR OUR PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE SINS BUT WE CAN’T TAKE THIS FOR GRANTED. WE DON’T WANT TO ABUSE HIS GRACE AND MERCY / FREEDOM.

Hebrews 10:18 - Now where there is forgiveness of these things, there is no longer any offering for sin.
